Come on Mou! Give us the SPECIAL JUAN
-
Tibo has been very good under the high ball all season other than a flap in the first game against Burnley and his flap last week which cost us a goal. I think you'll find that last season a lot of people were saying Cech was being a lot more nervous under the high balls and made more mistakes than in every season he'd had for us before put together. Tibo isn't perfect, but I challenge anyone to try jumping to catch above your head while someone runs into you, it's bloody difficult.
-
If I see both Drogba and Oscar at the start of the 2nd half i'm gonna be disappointed. Both have been 2/10 at best today.
-
No-one will make it to HT let alone the end of the game. We'd lose people before the 10th minute.
-
Jesus christ. Looking at some moronic posts here I don't think we deserve a GK as good as Courtois. Would love to see Cech hold onto those crosses when being taken out in the same way. Fact is the ref has been poor (for both teams tbh) but is giving Tibo no protection at all.
-
It's pretty hard to catch a ball when an opposition barrels into you every time you jump. He's being taken out every time he goes up. Not sure if people are just Cech lovers or are just looking for something to moan about.
-
Oscar/Drogba off for Cuadrado/Remy. Has to be.
-
Agbonlahor hit it out of Tibo's hands with his hand? How is that a fumble?
-
Ivanovic being out position is becoming boringly common....

It's all about knowing that Mourinho isn't a moron and trying to find tactical reasons for his decisions rather than interpreting everything he does in a negative light to use as a stick to beat him with like some people love to do.

What a goal!!!!! Oscar-->Willian-->Eden--> GOAL

I'm actually not to fussed about this, let's look at it logically: No Cesc so he obviously isn't 100%. I'd rather not rush him back and get him injured again and be out for another 5 games. Drogba over Remy only because Drogba will be more effective at breaking Villa down as they will sit narrow and compact - asking for crosses which Drogba can attack. Cahill over Zouma will annoy me if it's permanent, but I really don't think it is. I think it's more tactical and more because while Zouma is awesome, he's still young and you don't want to burn out young players by playing them every game (see: Sterling). If Zouma is back in against Everton in midweek then I'll be happy - I'd rather Zouma play in that game. Big game for Oscar. Could lose his place to Willian with Cuadrado coming in at RW if he doesn't play better than he has done in the last month today. COYB!!!

Yeah but signing players to 5 and a half year contracts is suicide if they don't settle and turn out to be average at best (see: Torres & Salah). Then you're committed to paying their wages for that whole time anyway, which is FFP suicide also.

Look, I am far from Mikel's biggest fan. But if rather have him on the bench than a 33yr old Gareth Barry. Henderson is the only English CM that is better than Mikel. Kane has only looked good for 6months, chill out before saying he's the real deal. Remember all the fuss about Wilshere, Townsend and even Sterling to a certain extent? It's like Ryan and a few others have said. Whatever way you want to cut it, the quality if English players coming through ATM is horrifically low. And even the ones who could be good enough will be ridiculous transfer fees which in the days of FFP we can't afford. If you made a realistic combined squad of Chelsea + Any English players then let's be honest it'd look like this: Courtois, Azpilicueta, JT, Zouma, Luis, Matic, Fabregas, Hazard, Willian, Cuadrado, Costa. Subs: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Henderson, Sterling, Oscar, Sturridge. And Henderson, Sterling and Sturridge would all fetch £40M+ price tags on a good day. I was always a big fan of having English players in our team. But until English players become better (better coaches and PL B teams needed IMO) then I'd much rather have no Englishmen and actually win some trophies than have 4/5 in the starting 11 and become a team like Spurs.

I think it was around what BBC quoted (£23.3M) going up to his release clause of £26.1M with add ons like Sky reported. combination of the 2

Heard on SSN that this is an 18month loan deal. That would be a pretty big vote of no-confidence in the lad and essentially guarantee he's not coming back (not that many will think he ever will anyway). So weird to think that even after that loan has expired he'll still have 3 damn years left on his contract... We really need to stop signing new players onto any more than 3 year contracts, and reward them with an extension if they're good enough.
-
SSN just confirmed the deal. Goodbye Schurrle mate! Best of luck at Wolfsburg!
-
Call him back from loan. Martinez is obviously bitter that we mugged them for the Lukaku transfer fee xD. 1st choice: -Hazard---Willian---Cuadrado- 2nd choice: -Atsu---Oscar---Remy/Ramires- Looks good to me.
-
TalkSport reporting on air that Cuadrado deal has been completed and he's signed. Schurrle and Salah deal announcements to be very soon after.
-
Still fancy us to bag him in the summer, even though we have Cuadrado. With Salah and Schurrle on their way out there's no reason why we couldn't get another player, especially if the £20M release clause in the summer is true. We can lure him with being able to live in London (surprisingly important among some players), the chance to play in a top, competitive league (sorry PSG), the chance to play alongside some of the best players in the world, more playing time than he'd ever have at Barca/Real/Bayern, high chances of silverware and best of all, the chance to work under the greatest coach in the world. No other team could offer him all of that, or even most of it. I'm really hoping he sees sense and joins us in the Summer.
-
By the 2018 WC it's more likely to look like this IMO: -------------------Lloris--------------------- -Foulquier--Zouma---Varane--Digne- --------------Schneiderlin----------------- --------Pogba------------Sissoko--------- --Lacazette-----------------Griezmann-- -----------------Benzema------------------ But yeah, whichever it is they're going to have both a really good and really young (average age of around 26 in the 11 I mentioned above) side. It's crazy!

Reus to Arsenal, so he can work with Arsene "Specialist in Failure" Wenger?

Not if Deschamps has anything about him, Zouma is already twice the player Mangala is. Unless Mangala really steps up it should be Varane & Zouma.
