Just crossed my mind, what if we offer Cech+ 40m for him? Surely that would be around 55-60m at least and PSG effectively got a world class GK and still got their money back from last summer(most of it). Would solve both ST and GK situations, and this guy already got like 22 goals this season despite playing on the wing most of the time, beast. Him or Costa is fine imo but I would prefer him if it means we can get Courtois back and have a world class striker at the same time.

Well at the end of Sep Cole was 1st choice and Dave didn't even play for more than 20 mins yet I think, after that Arsenal game he is now 1st choice for pretty much every single match, same happened with Varane/Pepe at Madrid last season. So imo Courtois shouldn't be so quick to just want out or play straight away in the summer, give it at least until Jan next year and if he fells out like Kevin,Mata then we can sold him(providing Cech is doing well himself by then) but not this summer imo. Btw tbf Essien was never the same after 2010 injury. That pass against Southampton ended his Chelsea career effectively. Cole as well after losing his place and going to Arsenal party, Lampard will probably be given a new 1 year deal if he doesn't pick up any injury from now to the end of the season.

Actually the idea of Cech as back up isn't really that bad, it is just his attitude though, he is a really nice guy as far as I can remember but how would he react now if he suddenly got benched for no reason other than Courtois is better than him atm? Would he just do a Cole now and accept it, preparing to leave if his situation doesn't change or go full on battle like Lampard did to AVB? If it is the 1st case then it would be great and hopefully happens, but I could also see the latter as well and there will only be 1 winner, his name is Jose(well unless he is sacked) Best option is to sell Cech to PSG for 20m and make Courtois staying here for the next 15 years.

Buffon has been terrible pretty much since 2009. His record is only help by Juve's best defence and decline of Serie A. In CL he never made many world class saves, just usually good-great saves. The only goalkeepers on form atm and still playing well are Cech, De Gea, Courtois, Diego Lopez, Neuer. The rests like Valdes, Hart...etc are good but they made quite a few costly mistakes this season. Then there is a level below keeprs like Dortmund GK, Sirigu, Mignolet...etc who plays well but occasionally make mistakes although they generally play well

Eventually he will join Madrid like CR7, just something we got to accept I am afraid. But should get at least 100-150m for him despite ffp or by then we should be swapping him for like Di Maria+Isco+Benzema or something, basically anything that should eventually amounts to around at least 100m. And I wouldn't be sad if he does go, yes he is brilliantly gifted but NO ONE IS IRREPLACEABLE. Not even Jose, if he is sacked in the summer there will be other top coach to take over like Van Gaal(hate it or not) and others. Same with Hazard. If he lives Salah, Willian, Oscar would just step up, not to mention that we would most likely have a world class striker leading our line by then who will replace him in scoring goals.

I hope PSG do that, actually they probably should and would. They are really lacking a standout world class GK even though imo Sirigu is good.

Lukaku got the body to become the next Drogba, Walcott got the most important thing for a winger-pace more than anyone else so if he practice and nurture his skill well on theory he could be even better than Ronaldo(cause pace is something you cannot get by practicing, you are born with it) all the other skills you can and others...etc Just because you got a set of attributes doesn't mean you are one of the best or will ever become one of the best, I am sure in history there was players who were fasters than Usain Bolt, but no one know them because that is probably the only thing they got. That mental aspect is also probably something you can't nurture imo, you are either born with it or you don't. Terry, Kompany, Ronaldo, Puyol, VDS, Vidic...etc are born with natural leadership and mental strength. Unfortunately Luiz is not born with that set of skill so he won't ever have it, no matter how hard you try.

RB took ages to be bought, CDM now finally being bought after Jose has clearly told them too. Mikel only played well because the whole team's job was to defend until penalties, we knew we would get destroyed if we tried hand to hand combat. Lampard will never be a good CAM, he is not as versatile as Gerrard although he is a better CAM in my opinion as his stats shown. Essien was sold because he was so crap now he decided to concede a goal within a few seconds of his 1st start in ages. Matic was signed to play at CDM and not replace anyone, the other position is usually belong to Ramires now.

Yeah sure what the heck did he do? unless you count having him in the bus parking tactic against Barca and Bayern as contribution, through out the season he done fk all, absolutely nothing. In 09-10 again he was useless, Essien, Ballack, Deco, Lampard...etc played much bigger roles. At the end of the day, the sooner he get away from Chelsea the better. But it is alright for many people because he adds 'depth' to the team isn't he.
