Doesn't mean it will always be like this. Maybe 5 years from now Liverpool are shit again and we're at the top. For now, we just gotta suck it up and continue to improve. I liked the starting XI and the general approach to this match. In my opinion it is was only approach worth taking considering how far Liverpool are in their project cycle, how dangerous they are in attack and how solid they are in defence. It wasn't the best performance for sure, quite far from it. I'm probably one of the biggest supporters of Jorginho at this forum but I though he was poor today. Azpilicueta kept showing why is either past it, fatigued or simply not good enough for this type of football at all. Higuain showed why Sarri decided to go with false 9 in the first place – the man looked out of shape and out of place on the pitch. Still we got few chances and in some other game we would have buried those. Either way, Liverpool created more chances and they deserved to win. Clearly the better team at the moment and there's no shame in admitting it. There's plenty of good things, however, to take onboard from this weekend. No less that three academy players featured today. Mason Mount scored a hattrick on Friday. Reece James keeps on impressing at Wigan. Better times are ahead and the future doesn't look that bad at all.

I completely agree with Sarri that false 9 was the right approach to this game but I think soon is time for some changes. Giroud in for Willian will help with bringing Hazard and CHO better into the game. CHO has a good cross in him but currently there's no target man inside the box

In previous games against Pool and City (apart from that one 6-0 fiasco) we grew into the game and got better and better on the ball as the game went on. I hope that happens today as well cause once again we look quite sloppy in possession

I think he could also play Kante or Kovacic as emergency fullback. But yeah you are right, it's a bit weird having no genuine fullback on the bench

I hate the whole assist thing to be honest and I hate how this sport too is gradually becoming Americanized as its developing an unhealthy obsession with all these stats and percentages. Not so long ago people would have just appreciated a beautiful pass and ignore whether it would be classified as an assist or not. Jorginho should definitely improve his final ball, and I know he can, but saying that he has been failure as a playmaker because he has 0 "assists" is just silly. Willian has like 10 assists this season and the man doesn't even have a football brain

Hudson and Emerson MUST play. I can't see us breaking up West Ham's bus with Willian and Alonso, it will all be too static once again. Jorginho also needs that movement around him. Hopefully Loftus plays as well if he's fit but I believe Barkley can do the job as long as Alonso and Willian aren't ruining the shape of the team with their presence. Kovacic again is far too passive for that role against defensively organized teams, it's as if he's constantly stuck on first gear

If Hazard stays then CHO will leave. And if we go down that route in 12 months we'll also lose Hazard for free. I hope this Hazard transfer is done as soon as possible so that the manager, the club and everyone else can start preparing for the future. No point postponing the inevitable
