  1. That kit looks awesome! It almost looks like the Rugby kit
  2. I agree! Then again, we could be Liverpool, and only perform well in Europe, whilst doing a shit job domestically!
  3. I just get frustrated!! Literally, and when you have a whole family of Arsenal supporters it feels even worse ... especially when Arsenal/United win as well! That annoys me to no end! Good shout! I'll never forget how I felt when we lost! All I could say in a mellow voice was... "...Terry slipped!"
  4. With United and Everton he has scored 11 goals against us!
  5. Veteran Welsh winger Ryan Giggs signs a one-year contract extension at Manchester United. BBC Football -- Geez we have to put up with another year of this twat!
  6. I think it would be nice for him to stay, at least for another year. The signing of Torres will prove to him that he will need to work harder in training and earn himself a place. But what BlueDrew said earlier is spot on! Had he have got on with what he was told to do on the pitch, rather than be a complete moaning idiot, he would be much more than a world class striker. I still believe he's on par with Thierry Henry, the way he approached things when he was at Arsenal. Except he just got on with it, scored loads of goals and is considered an Arsenal legend. One other thing I'd like to point out. Much as Drogba and Torres sounds like a penetrating strike force on paper. I don't think it'll ever exist in this team. It will be either one or the other. Chelsea for me, only work with a 4-3-3 formation, and there's only one centre forward position. You can't play either Drogba or Torres on the wing.
  7. That's the Daily Mail for you... so anti-Chelsea! Thay'll write anything down just so they can have a dig at us!
  8. That is an amazing record!! I thank Mourinho for the 86-game unbeaten streak at home. That was a magical time! :blue scalf:
  9. I have to say I agree. Aguero would be the harder out of the two to aquire however!
  10. True, but just look how old he is! He's not a long-term player unfortunately.
  11. Exactly, especially at home as well! Only Arsenal (FA Cup), Charlton and Burnley (League cup -- both on pens) have been able to beat us at Stamford Bridge in any Domestic Cup game this decade, and I went to the Burnley game!
  12. There was one game I remember in the FA Cup of 2005 when we lost 1-0 to Newcastle (Kluivert goal in the 3rd minute). Mourinho brought on Lampard for the second half, and I remember us performing a lot better, despite the fact that we couldn't score. Should Carlo drop Lampard, I reckon a 3-man midfield behind the attack like this sounds pretty good Mikel Ramires - Essien Anelka - Drogba - Malouda
  13. Carlo could give Borini a chance. But you'd be pushing the limits against a team like Everton. I guess it all depends on the situation of the game. If we're losing 1-0 and we need goals, I don't think Borini would get that chance. Though you never really know!
  14. I'm sure he will! His return is long overdue I reckon. But One question springs to mind... Where will he play??
  15. he's injury prone as well. He's already missed the first half of the La Liga season as well because of a knee injury!
  16. can't argue with that! He will only get better too!
  17. If we have "any" chance of getting to the Champions League next season we MUST win those two games! Sadly, I don't see that happening! We won't win both games!
  18. Oh sod that! I completely forgot Torres was cup-tied! At least Drogba can play in this one then!
  19. A real difficult choice to make, but I chose this... Nevin - Lampard - Makelele - Robben Osgood - Drogba :blue scalf:
  20. It's not that we don't need him! We definitely need some sort of playmaker in our squad, just not him! And yes I agree he's getting old now!
  21. There's only one reason for our vulnerability this season. Because we haven't freshened up the squad enough..... "pipe down dude... we've just bought Torres and Luiz" Yeah we have, but Torres has been the first "world class" player we've signed since Shevchenko in 2006, and to me, that's appauling. You think that with Roman's money, he would be urging to bring in at least a couple of good names to freshen up the squad. But no!! We've always kept reasonably quiet, because we have so much players in our squad that we don't need to. But these players "age" and after a while, their years will catch up with them. And then what happens? Ballack, Carvalho, Joe Cole, Deco and Belletti all leave, and they don't get replaced. In the summer, I understood what we were trying to do. Mix some youth with a couple of decent signings (Ramires and Benayoun) But it hasn't worked. In previous summers, players like Zhirkov were signed improve competition, but Zhirkov has never played enough games for us. He is second choice to Malouda and Cole, and whenever he does play, he doesn't look very decent at all. It just shows you that if you're not getting enough opportunities in the squad, it means that you're not working hard enough in training. Zhirkov should work harder in training if he wants Carlo to pick him. There's one player I will give credit to however, and that's David Luiz. He has come to this club and has got on with it like a proper sweeper would! He was excellent against Fulham, I don't care if he did give away a last-minute penalty! One incident doesn't sum up a whole player's performance.
