I fucking love Coutinho. The fact that Guardiola, Simeone at Atletico Madrid and Pochetino at Southampton all want/ wanted to sign him at some point says I'm not alone in this. But there's no way he'd get into Brazil's first 11 ahead of Oscar. I still would like to see him get a place in the squad though, he's a little genius, he's the closest thing to the next Iniesta with a bit more flair and tricks and acceleration over the first few years, it's a bit of a shame his injury derailed his season a bit. As for Mata, whom I also love as a player, I think he should be given a few games with Mikel and Ramires in the pivot, that would allow him to do what he does best, he'd still have to press but not as much.

I'm glad Mourinho finally moved him out of the pivot. He's been a passenger there all season. Now he needs to compete with the attacking players for a spot in the team. The pivot role now is Mikel's.
