Okay so not a bad first half. - Costa looks lively, but needs to keep his head up, he's missed several passing opportunities, like the intensity though. - Oscar is excellent off the ball, but when he has it? I hope so but like you aluded to earlier we haven't been linked with any fullbacks. I know the odd deal can be done on the sly and surprise us but it just doesn't feel right. I think the most likely scenario in this transfer window is: Thiago Miaia IN (Soon) Koulibaly IN (Soon- Fucking christ I hope so) Lukaku IN (Deadline day- Apparently Everton are in for Bony) That leaves us good in some places but desperately short still at left back. Baba was a bad signing, going forward he looked good but his positioning showed he has a lot to learn, I just hope in the coming days we are linked to someone, even if it's just a 'decent' fullback with PL experience, I might get shouted down for this but I'd have a look at Andy Robertson at Hull City, wouldn't be the priciest move but I have been very impressed with him every time I've seen him play.

It's hardly a Real Madrid mentality, its just a case of us fans, rightfully so, worrying for the start of our season because our biggest flaw has not been addressed in any way shape or form, with days to go until the start of the season. I hope I end up with egg on my face in the coming 48 hours but this lack of depth in defence is worrying, but at the same time we need to have some sort of quality control in terms of excitement over links. Basically we should just be 'happy' with anyone coming in apparently, also the Papy/Hector signings were damaging in terms of the faith the fans on here have with the clubs transfers, it was embarassing.

I'm thinking Aina might feature heavily, but that could just be wishful thinking on my part. I can't get my head around us letting Baba go on loan especially considering we also let Ake go out again too, I had a feeling he'd be brought back in this season, I know he can play CM but as a squad fullback he would have given us depth without spending a penny.

Okay. Sign Maksimovic, give him to Napoli with a nice bow on his head then sign Koulibaly. Sorted. Also who is this guy? reliable?

I do not understand how anyone can STILL say Mourinho was harshly treated last season, alright the players didn't cover themselves in glory and the funds weren't made available for him to get new players in, but come off it, we were near the relegation zone, with NO SIGN of coming out of it, and to go along with that, Jose damn near lost his mind, constant picking of players who were so obviously out of form, and being so damn arrogant in his post match press conferences that he went from Box office must watch to a moaning old man who has been surpassed by younger, better managers. Some on here need to be directed to redcafe so they can celebrate Mourinho's wins there, not here where we should be focusing on Conte and the players we have. Deary me, its quite sickening. If we don't sign a defender in the next couple of days we are pretty fecked if you ask me. They are a very dangerous side and could make a mockery of our defensive line. Let's just hope we outscore them. I think there will be goals in it.
