Souness is a miserable wanker. I stopped listening to him as soon as he said Kante wasn't a top quality player. Absolute helmet of a man, clearly harbouring some resentment for a failed managerial career.

If JT's not fit: Tibo Azpi Ivanovic Cahill Alonso Kante Willian Matic Fabregas Hazard Costa I'd love to see Alonso start this one, we need a genuine left footer for counter attacking play and making sure that those Liverpool wide men don't have it all their own way and have to worry about dropping back as well. Brana in the middle has never been a problem for me, with Kante there for extra security, and Matic breaking up play further up the field surely we could afford the luxury of Fabregas' creativity, Oscar has been playing well but I just think we're over doing it with work ethic over style and chance creating in the middle of the park. Fabregas feeding an in form Costa could cause Liverpool tonnes of problems. In terms of the wide players, Hazard had a dodgy game but he's a nailed on starter, hopefully he brings his balls this time, I'm sure Conte will light a fire underneath him. Likewise Willian, work ethic is key when you are playing Hazard on the other side, I think he offers slightly more going forward than Pedro or Moses. It's the first big test of the season, I reckon there'll be goals. Optimistic : 3-2 Win. Pessimistic: 3-1 Loss COME ON CHELSEA!

Just saw the Gary Cahill interview with the BBC, great passion shown from the lad, he wasn't shouting and raving, he kept calm and rationally asked the question everyone was thinking, nothing wrong with that surely? but no he will get the book thrown at him despite the referee having an absolute stinker, not only with that but with the constant fouls on Costa and going through the back of our attackers, how Amat in particular stayed on the pitch is beyond me. The referees need to be held as accountable as the players, just as a player can ruin a game with a mistake or a rush of blood, a referee or an assistant can do so too with a bad decision. Not Cahill's biggest fan as you all may know from my post match comments on his performance but fair play to him today for standing up and speaking out with passion without going over the top, you can see how much the result and the club means to him from that alone. He bottled the one on one for sure But Costa also angered me too seconds later trying to get a free kick by diving rather than going in for the kill.
