Werner had a release clause, and Ajax had an agreement with Ziyech to facilitate his departure if a big club came calling. Different circumstances. Of course Bayer will try to get much as they can get for their biggest asset.
-
He hasn't had anything new regarding Havertz for a while, just keeps repeating the same stuff. I doubt the club will pay anywhere near the quoted 100m including bonuses. the fee will be around 80 if it happens. No competition means Bayer will have to settle for less.

Google translation: Should be more or less accurate Sky Info: Havertz-Poker decided! Youngster agree with Chelsea Poker for super talent Kai Havertz has ended after Sky information. The youngster from Bayer Leverkusen agrees with Chelsea. All other interested parties such as Manchester United are out of the race. "We can delete all other clubs. According to our information, Havertz has fully agreed with Chelsea FC . All 'personal terms' such as salary, contract details, etc. have been checked and clarified," said Sky Transfer expert Marc Behrenbeck in Transfer Update - the show . Havertz transfer: 80 million euros + bonuses The general conditions of the deal between the clubs are also known. "Chelsea is going all in with the deal. It's about a transfer fee of 80 million euros to which there are still possible bonuses." In the coming week after the end of the season in the Premier League, Peter Cech, who acts as technical advisor for the Blues, will travel to Germany and hold talks with those responsible at Bayer Leverkusen . In addition to the exact transfer modalities, it will also be about the time of the transfer. Havertz still in the Europa League for Leverkusen? "It should be clarified whether Havertz will still play in the Europa League for Leverkusen," says Behrenbeck. Leverkusen has repeatedly emphasized in the past that Havertz will still count on the services in the competition and that a departure - if at all only after the Europa League - will come about. "Chelsea is ready to negotiate on this point", which is very conducive to the successful completion of the transfer. "We can definitely say that the deal has come a lot closer."

Rice is rumoured to be a signing for the CB position. Kante plays over him in midfield anyday, over anyone actually.
-
The difference today was that he played with more urgency. One of the best players on the pitch. Hopefully he can keep this up for the last 2 games.
-
Not at all surprised by the result. We had 4 days of rest between games so the team was back to their best and the gameplan by Frank was excellent to press their defenders and force them into comitting mistakes. I hope we have something left in the tank for the Liverpool game.

Lamps doesn't like rotating eh...
-
Never in doubt. The Special One.
-
The article is close to an attempt at making fun of the player. You would think Jorginho is not good enough to play in the lower leagues after reading this. It's a shame because it's still one of the best pieces I've read about the player.
-
Thanks for sharing the article. Great read. And although the article is biased and focuses primarily on Jorginho's shortcomings, I think it raises very important points. Not sure the Jorginho fanbase is gonna enjoy this one though as the writer doesnt try to ease them in accepting it.
-
Caballero, James, Tomori, Christensen, Emerson, Jorginho, Barkley, Mount, CHO, Pedro, Abraham Will never happen, but we need to rotate heavily and rest as many key players as possible for the Liverpool and Wolves games.

DELETED PICTURE

Seen the penalty incident on Zaha. Should've been a pen. Why did the Var not intervene? Also Zaha's reputation as a diver influences the referees everytime.
-
I don't think Palace cares anymore. They left us too much space when we played them. I've never seen them so open before. Rashford, Martial and co will feast on that.
-
Not even gonna bother watching Man United. Palace are going to get trashed. Need the special one and a special park the bus performance now.
-
Leicester would be 3-0 up if Kepa was in goal.
-
Mousset on, that's good news.
-
Leicester very energetic for 30 minutes or so, but Sheffield not up for it so far.
-
He certainly does but we've yet to see him play full time in that position. He will have to defend deeper and get at the edge of our box more often. I'm not execting much from Kai defensively if at all.
-
The only way you can afford playing that midfield is if you have a player like Kanté who can cover huge distances. Also going forward, N'Golo will have to play there more often IMO if he wants a longer career. I don't think his body can sustain playing nearly every minute of every game as a box to box anymore.
-
No club is going to pay that amount for him. We want him but we're not that desperate. 80 mil including bonuses max.
-
Oh, you're not alone. I wanted us to rotate most of the squad in the Leicester game to be fresher for the WHU game and have Leicester play 1 additional game in their run for UCL qualification. Ambition and playing in every front when you're Chelsea is fine but when you could end up being eliminated from the cup AND miss out on UCL, I think you gotta have priorities.
-
Need a performance like the one vs City to pull that, but I'm afraid we don't have the freshness for it. Frank will probably make very few changes in the cup game.
-
Sheffield, Tottenham, and United are all in good form right now. Leicester is well... competing with us for the worst top 4 contender. I really have more faith in us getting points in those 2 games than Leicester in those 3. It could be i'm too positive or I just want us to get UCL without too much trouble.
