I like Jorginho to Roma also, but I still don't think Rice joins us in this window. I think he will be a Chelsea player next summer, but I cannot conceive a way he joins us this window without West Ham dropping his valuation. If they need to sell as badly as it sounds like they do, they will be forced to sell for the market value of someone, I just don't think it will be him. He is too important to them to stay in the Prem IMO

I do think the price is outrageous but while that may be, Chilwell has already established himself in the PL and has shown he can compete at a high level despite the pace and physicality of the league. With a stronger side around him I think his play will also be elevated. Reguilion and Tagliafico are insane question marks that may or may not translate to the PL at all and for the ~30m or so we would pay for either, that's a lot for me to want to risk. For me, the risk of the others even at 30m is harder to swallow than paying a premium for an Englishman already proven in the league to be a good talent when its imperative that we don't take any Ls on players not acclimatizing to the league.

Marina is working her magic. I read somewhere that there's a potential domino chain that starts with us signing Kai and ends with Roma signing Jorginho, so that would be nice if she could pull that off. Obviously you don't want to haggle too much where 10m breaks the deal but there is certainly a middle ground to be found. I suspect we will have an agreement by the end of the work week.

I'd prefer we pass on Pulisic. I love him as a fellow American, but the price tag is too high and frankly I don't want to deal with the influx of fake "Chelsea fans" that will follow him just because he is American.

I hate/love Jose. I hate that he does all of the stupid crap like patronize his players for prioritizing family over football, but I love that it is no longer to our detriment and maybe even to our benefit.

SMS is going to be a stud in the midfield. I want him here more than just about anyone I have ever wished for (honestly probably Varane is the only one I have wanted more) and its plausible. And as others said, it could spell the end of Danny Drinkwater, and that is a pressing need IMO.

I don't mind this, even if he is aging, I would love to see him here because we have our centre backs for the future in Christensen (assuming he ever returns) and Zouma, Silva kind of bridges that gap in the mean time, and maybe the others could learn a thing or two.

Really didn't want him to come back, but if Conte does use the 3-5-2, it makes more and more sense as I think about it. Using him as a box to box capable holding mid could actually work paired with Kante. In Conte I trust.

Im not sure its a realistic possibility, but certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility, especially after being kinda ousted, whether by Zidane or by his own accord.

Oscar isn't AS worthless as he is portrayed here, but it's close. If we can sign Isco and replace Oscar with him, I would be ecstatic, because Isco is, in my opinion, as versatile as Oscar. He just never really plays out wide because they have Ronaldo and Bale already and there is no need.

We need to make those offers for Varane!

I love this signing. He has so much potential and he will likely break into the Brazil senior team due to the sheer lack of players capable of being 9s. I envision him more out wide here, but regardless will get plenty of time on the pitch for his age. His potential is sky high. In five or six years we may have the two best Brazillian strikers

He would be a good addition for depth. As a free or very cheap buy, I can't complain here. He's a serviceable player that in a crunch could provide some solid minutes. Not the flashy signing we all want, but champions are built on many low key signings. Remember, they add up.

Raphaël Varane is number one on my wish list. He is going the best center back in the world in three years and will be the Terry replacement both on the back line and as captain. I like Zouma but I like Varane infinitely more. Pay the €20m. Hell, pay €30m, he's worth that long term.

The problem is that his value is going nowhere but up. Yes he will be expensive now, but he will be even more expensive later.

I really like Varane and Laporte. Varane will be the best defender in the world by 2020. Now is the time to get him.

Courtois to sign a five year deal with CFC, per goal.com. I'm not sure how reliable the source is, but that is what they are claiming.

Courtois was solid today. He looked very reminiscent of Cech pre-injury and he is so massive he can out leap anyone. With all due respect to Petr Cech, I hope Thibaut is chosen from now on, but I hope Petr gets a chance to play first team elsewhere. He deserves that. Side note, if Cech is sold, how soon do you guys think Thibaut takes the #1 shirt?
