Let's see what our AM looks like without Hazard and Oscar in the team.
-
He had a bad shift yesterday, but it's his first 45 mins since coming back. I do agree though that with the quality Schürrle, Oscar and Hazard are playing now it's obvious they will be the main trio at the start of the season. Also, Happy Birthday Willian!

Watch them turn their rage on someone else when they starts underperforming.

What a GOAL , like a walk in the park!

It's ok to say those things, but the part where you said we shouldn't expect much because of certain "things" rubs me in the wrong way. Im not expecting him to be overly clinical in front of goal, he lacks the killer instinct of A Schürrle/Costa. But he makes that up in other departments, (actual scoring is the only thing he must improve imo). Also what was said before by other members is that our AM's will look better now that we have a proper striker to convert those chances into actual goals. Willian is only behind Hazard in chances created with 65. To put it in perspective Oscar only has 48 and Schürrle 29. With Hazard, Costa, Oscar, and Fabregas in the lineup our goalscoring ability should be more then adequate. Sorry, that i came across a bit too agressive but im pretty excited for the upcoming season and im quite certain Willian will improve alot now that he has a full season under his belt.

For a dumb person he's quite steady in our build up, and defensive shift. The lad like Schürrle never complained about sitting the bench for much of the first part of the season, and always put a decent shift in. He takes his responsibilities seriously, unlike some other attacking players we have. If he is as dumb as you say, why does Mourinho even bother playing him as a number 10. Oscar isn't overly creative, and comes across like any faceless Brazillian in most of his interviews. Surely he must be as dumb like Willian. Hazard kicked a kid, ate a hamburger when he was benched at the national team, had a defensive brain fart in our CL Semi-final. He's gotten away with alot of it because he is Eden Hazard, but seeïng his interviews he looks like a kid trapped in a growns man body. Here are some of Mourinho's own words about him after our CL semi-final exit "Normally you get these kind of comments from players like him, from players that can't resolve a problem like we had in the first goal." "Eden is the kind of player that is not so mentally ready to look back to his left-back and to leave his life for him." Perhaps the biggest comment is this: Hazard has been praised for his defensive duties this term, but Mourinho insists he still has work to do. "I'm not happy," Mourinho said. "I speak all season and I try to improve him all season." It clearly is a jab that after all the work he's done during the season Hazard still doesn't understand some basic defensive football work. Anyway, do i judge these players on their intelligence? No, if i did that then half of our squad should be gone. Torres doesn't score right? So he must be dumb as a brick. Willian has to improve, but saying that he can't because of his intelligence are some pretty big acquisitions. I will defend everyone of our players that get judged and trashed away by these assumptions people get by listening to interviews etc

Believe me Hazard is not a 10, watched him fail at it too many times at Lille and the NT.
-
Idd, i would even add Hazard to that list. I think only Azpi and our new signings are truly safe (Cesc, Costa, Luis) in surviving the upcoming season. If Mourinho doesn't leave first ofcourse, but it would really surprise me if we don't win anything this season with the squad we have.

Idd, + the overhype on Schürrle is becoming a bit sickening. Just two months ago almost nobody had him in their starting IX. But after a few games where he came on as a "Super-sub" of all things, he's the best thing since sliced bread. He had a very big final though with his assist to Götze, i give him that. And he created it by beating his man (wich he rarely does), but he played on the left wing (Hazard's best position). Even his best games for us where on the left (José even switched Hazard to the right in those). The fact also stands he was never a full on starter for Chelsea. Last year he had a full pre-season, but José preferred to start with Kevin De Bruyne in the opening game. KDB even got injured at the beginning of that pre-season. José said at the end of last season that Oscar and Schürrle had to improve. Mourinho's words on Oscar "He arrived in the crucial moment of the season in a down. Injuries, couldn’t train, was trying to arrive to the game but didn’t, was a doubt for the game, the game was too big to play with a doubtful player, so he arrived in the crucial moment of the season in a low. I can imagine, in a couple of weeks, he will be in a high and during the World Cup he will be in a high." Mourinho's words on Schürrle "Schürrle had a good season? Not bad, but next season must be better." Mourinho's words on Willian "“Willian has improved. For example, I have Dr Paco Biosca, the doctor at Shakhtar Donetsk for many years with Willian, and he says he doesn't recognise Willian now: the professional, the player, the commitment. The only thing he recognises is the talent. You can't succeed with everybody. You try to help but it's up to them. Every one who is in an age of improvement needs to improve. You can't improve John Terry, Ashley Cole. If you keep them in the position where they are, it's fantastic. All of the others have to improve. Has André Schürrle had a good season? Not bad but next season must be better. Mohamed Salah, Oscar, Willian, Eden Hazard … all of them are in an age of improvement." And now you have people that put him into the second squad. Imo if you take everything from the last part of last season in consideration i doubt Mourinho is just gonna drop him like that. Even Hazard was hammered at the end for his lack of commitment. Anyway, my little rant aside. I have high expectations for André Schürrle, and i expect him to have a big role in the beginning stages of our season. He's got an entirely different skillset than most of our AM's, and that's a nice thing to have (mainly for counter-attacking games).
-
Idd, that was before the Brazil semi-final where Mourinho said he prefers Willian coming in from the sides. Oscar at nr.10 and Willian at the RW will be plan A. Willian is our only AM that can operate at both LW, RW and center because he is two-footed. LW is his best position though like Schürrle and Hazard.

Received his jersey the same day he is back at Chelsea! Must mean something

The boy's are back in town https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BuNCa07IIAAgsPV.jpg:large Tbh, it might be better we save them for the sunday game.
-
We are gonna need him next season, but i think a starting role is too dangerous at the beginning. He needs a full recovery.
-
We'll need him as a defensive sub. We can't rely unto unproven "Chelsea" players like Van Ginkel en Romeu yet...
-
Hope his good mood is infectious to the rest of our squad
-
Im sad to say it but i think we must shift Ramires back in when we play the big teams (go 4-3-3), because we probably need someone to cover his ass if we wan't our fullbacks to bomb forward.
-
My thoughts exactly, think he is more suited to play in a 4-3-3.
-
The Brazillians aren't even back...

The gift that keeps on giving.
