Only thing im worrying about is his injury track-record. Hope he sets the world on fire and doesn't end up like Thiago Alcantara.
-
This is what he said: "Big games ahead in my final season of youth football I hope we can win titles again ⚽️✌️ grab your laptops and go watch the rest of the video on the CJR10 page" Instagram link: https://instagram.com/cjrmusonda10/ Also a nice article on our youth from WAGNH: http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/4/11/8385597/chelseas-academy-xi I don't agree with the comparison to Oscar and Fabregas though.
-
They both are awesome prospects, curious where they will go next season. Charly already confirmed through instagram that this is his final year in the youth teams.

Either way, im curious who we are targeting. I would like a fresh nr10 player, but a decent B2B player is more vital. We also need quality players to rotate with Hazard and Willian (hoping Cuadrado steps up next season). When you look at it this way we need a new AM, Central midfielder, Striker (replacing Drogba), and possibly a new CB. It is going to be a busy summer...
-
And people where moaning about Willian's pricetag... (wich is still a tad too much). But it looks like we really got robbed on this one, Hope he surprises me because we don't need passengers at this stage of the season (looking at Oscar too).
-
How many times has he been taken off at half-time this season? Must be some kind of record. Im starting to really believe he's finished here. Same thing happened to Schürrle at the end of his spell here...
-
Unusual quick-thinking today with that chance Oscar should've put in, and that midfield knick off. More of that plz
-
Damn Cuadrado is bad...
-
Where gonna need him for the remainder of the season now that Costa is out.
-
Love you Hazard, Willian and Remy
-
Our luck... first that ridiculous goal and now this...
-
Not only that, i hope it will end the days of us getting bullied in midfield against lesser opposition.
-
I just hope he doesn't go to a Championship level team. AS Monaco seems like a good destination, if he's good enough he'll probably play.
-
Would love him here, but a proper box to box player or Nr10 is more critical.
-
He's a step above than most of the u21's. Curious where his loan destination will be.

Im not so sure what happened at Anderlecht, but what i have heard was that the move caught the board offguard. His father promised Anderlecht he would stay, but apparently it was the mother that was very eager to move abroad. I doubt that he is going back to Anderlecht, because he firmly said he did not want to come back (only when he is at the end of his career). He still loves the place though. But for his growth i wouldn't recommend a PL club t his age. About his physical stature, he actually is a bit taller than Eden currently but still has a very slim frame. He does hit the gym quite regularly though. I would compare him to Neymar in build, and a mixture of Xavi/Iniesta in ability.

A couple of months ago, Charly played with Belgium's u21 against Spain and Norway (won both matches) beïng the standout player. He got a standing ovation from the crowd there, wich is pretty big because Munir was also playing for Spain. In the match against Norway, he was taking selfies with the fans etc and made the news with beïng the most exciting youngster. Other players like Jordan Lukaku (brother of Romelu) commented that Charly was always the standout player when he was still at Anderlecht's academy. After those matches. The manager of Anderlecht, Herman van Holsbeeck was a guest at some belgian news talkshow and said their plan was to have a Musonda/Tielemans/Praet midfield. When Charly was still at Anderlecht, he even had a special pass to go around the complex etc (+ his father was a youth trainer at Anderlecht). 1 youth coach that coached both Musonda and Januzaj mentioned that Charly always impressed him the most. Beïng Anderlecht's biggest talent since Vincent Kompany, he was beïng groomed for a debut at age 16. Ofcourse, some big clubs came sniffing around. Namely Barcelona, City and Chelsea. Musonda's dream team was Barcelona, and that was where he first went. Receiving a tour at Camp Nou etc (made possible by Johan Boskamp). Problem was both Barca and City only wanted Charly and not his brothers. Chelsea was the only club willing to add all 3 brothers. Another argument Charly's father made was that Anderlecht where pushing him too hard. They where afraid that first-team football at age 16 would hamper his development, Romelu Lukaku beïng a prime example. At Chelsea he would play with players around his age. This does make sense, but i still think the money was just too much to ignore. Im just hoping he'll be smart about the club he goes on loan to next season. Anderlecht had a first loan-option (if he goes back to Belgium), but Charly denied that last summer on twitter. Luckily he has a good mentor at Chelsea with fellow Belgian Eden Hazard . They appear to be good friends, and looking at his instagram account they spend alot of time together.

Our Youth development is disgusting. Yeah, we dominate the U18-21 region wich is great and all, and i get maybe 1 or 2 can make to step to first team football at Chelsea. But it really wastes alot of good potential that don't make the cut. They are all getting loaned out 2 championship level clubs. Aké for example could've played first team football 2 years already for Vitesse. Musonda Jr, Anderlecht we're about to play him in their first team at around age 16 (he's 18 atm). I guess the money is just too tempting + most of those boys genuinely believe they'll get into the first team. Their parents should protect them from themselves, or pick a club that has a good track record in youth development. Chelsea just isn't that place.

Our strongest line-up going forward , lets smash em!
-
Went to my first match at The Bridge and i thoroughly enjoyed it. The first half was shambles, Fabregas in particular was pretty bad. But after Ramires came on it was a great match to see . Especially Hazard was lightning quick yesterday.
-
We have a very good squad (thin maybe), but with the players we have we should dominate most PL big teams bar City.
-
José is not going to get sacked, and he'll be here next season (if he wins the league ofc). But i don't want him to stay here for another 10 years with that ideology of football. Results come first ofcourse, but last night id rather have it that we lose 0-3 while playing some kind of attacking football. It doesn't have to be possession based, but there are different alternatives (biggest example is Real Madrid last year).
-
Can we only park the bus against big teams, we are worse than last year with thr same tactics
-
@oscar8: ‘These biggest games are games for great players.' Laugh of the day
-
You have a point and that's why i think a B2B player fits this Chelsea team alot more (looking at Pogba). We are never going to dominate possession in the big games, but like yesterday's second half it will allow players like Cesc/Matic/Ramires to press higher up the pitch. Oscar is a good defensive nr.10 when we do the pressing, but he kinda falls apart when the other team presses our own team. Currently only Arsenal of all the top teams in the PL play into his strenghts because they are possession based without their players pressing like mad. Currently, most top teams have adopted a variant of the pressing game (possession or counter attack based). Oscar is pretty bad at shielding the ball, and in big games we really need players that can hold their cool while under pressure. He even fumbles simple passes when not under pressure. Even players like Hazard, Cesc and Willian that have insane technical skill had trouble keeping the ball in yesterday's first half, that would've been a nightmare for Oscar. All that said though, i kinda like Oscar and want him to stay because of his age. And investing in another nr.10 isn't going to improve our team in the big games.
