They used to do like a slapstick routine and fool about if I remember, were around in the 80s when I was a child. According to Wikipedia they are passionate Everton Fans The one with the thumbs up is Jeanette Tough who's character was schoolboy wee Jimmy Krankie and is married to the other half of the Krankies, Ian Tough who played Jimmy's father.
