Wayne Rooney

I think with the boy Wayne and Fergie it was a bit of a downward spiral: Wayne has had absoloutly rotten patches regulary in his game over the last few years, leading to Fergie doubting, and rightly so, that is would be a good idea to build the squad around Wayne, leading to buying Berba and RvP. Wayne in his little boys attitude towards criticism reacts like he did, moaning, stamping, want to go awy, holding the club ransom, Fergie eventually losing it with him and dropping him in big games etc.

I still rate Rooney, to be honest.

On the other hand I can´t see him fitting in at Chelsea at the moment if he is not made a sort of support striker for Torres or someone else, but I also can´t see him leaving United for us, he just doesn´t fit in the club. If Mou wants him, there must be a reason, but so far it is all smoke and mirrors really.

I think people are harsh on him; he is still a very good footballer, if well man-managed. I think Fergie lost it with him but couldn´t afford to not play him because him and RvP did well over the season.

This is Wayne Rooney, a fantastic goalscorer.Watch his amazing stats, number of goals he assisted and scored, for his age its incredible IMO.On the pitch this year he had some very good performances, and very bad ones, since Madrid, he was terribly underpermorming but I have the total confidence in him to regain his form, with United or with us.Incredibly average player ? Sir Alex Ferguson is far better than you when it comes to judge players, and he had confidence in Wayne since 2004 for a fucking reason.Dude, you cant deny that the boy isn't a normal player, he isnt scoring that much by chance. ;)

Keep going with those deluded ways, it will only bring out the dingbat for when you're wrong.

The irony lmfao

instead of just talking bs, bring some arguments why he is "overrated" in your opinion? or is the whole football world just plain dumb, to regard him as a world-class player? including ferguson and othet top-coaches (as for example mourinho). or in your opinion, mourinho is dumb?

even in this season, which wasnt his best one, he has 12 goals and 10 assists (ant not playing as a main striker!!). so he is better than our strikes without even playing at his best...

What the... Why is everyone acting like we are signing Messi or Ronaldo, this is Wayne Rooney, the most overhyped player in history.

There's a big fucking chance he will flop, he's an incredibly average player, a lot of United fans aren't even that bothered that he wants to leave.

And on this day, the most stupid post ever was made.

That is because he has handed in a transfer request for the second time and the fans don't want players who feel they are bigger than the club. Besides that, they know that he is a brilliant footballer.

Yeah and has benched him in multiple games this season. The united fans are even commenting on his commitment/fitness these days.

AND he played as a starter most of the time at Manchester United.Look, if you have doubt about his actual form, its okay, if you have doubt over his talent then I cant tell much.

Keep going with those deluded ways, it will only bring out the dingbat for when you're wrong.

Give me your light , I'm begging you.

I think Rooney is a great footballer and all, but when he has a shocker, he goes missing completely. Also, it tends to happen in the biggest of games.

Obviously its great to have a player that can win you the games you're supposed to win; as this seems to have been our problem more than anything recently. Depending on the price, I'd love to have him here. He's a better player than Falcao and Cavani, as much as people will argue otherwise IMO.

Rooney's usually overrated, but he was once the 3rd best player in the world, and can be one of the best players in the world if he regains some consistency.

When? in 2009/2010? Drogba was better than him by far that season.

PSG offering £300,000-a-week...and higher for Wayne Rooney

WAYNE ROONEY has been told by Paris Saint-Germain that he can name his terms for a £30million move to France this summer – with the club ready to pay him £300,000 a week after tax.

The Ligue 1 champions are planning to make a huge bid for Rooney, 27, who is currently in Rio de Janeiro preparing for tomorrow’s England friendly against Brazil. PSG have made their approach through England intermediaries and have offered him a four-year deal.

Great! The sooner he goes the sooner I can be relieved we didn't sign him.

Yeah as a font of all footballing wisdom - you have spoken!

Rooney would be perfect for Chelsea.

He can play up front, or cover for Mata, if say for example Mata got injured? He can also guarantee 15-20 goals a season like Lampard used to..

But yeah I can totally see why he would be a bad signing!!!

His wages are the only reason why I don't want him here. Its highly unlikely that he's going to accept 150k a week deal and I don't want us to pay him the 250k he earns at Manchester United.

So its probably best that we forget about him and look at other strikers.
