EskWeston 696
I am curious, does any one keep tabs on past Chelsea youth player? The one that still gets me sad are Stoch, Matic, and just recently Borini.I wonder how they are doing in their respective club?Well Matic and Borini are only moving on this summer (Borini has already scored in pre season though). Stoch has had a decent first season at Fenerbache making 23 appearances and scoring 5 goals. Would have loved to have kept Stoch, when we are desperate for wingers we seem to let our talented ones move on without a fuss (Stoch, Tore, Sala)
Kostas 1,468
I'd be more interested in older former youth blues. Huth, Cole, Nouble and co

Madmax 9,219
http://thechels.net/2011/08/injury-strikes-again-for-phillip/This sucks big time. AP was getting into his own and looked good for an educational experience with a loan somewhere. Speedy recovery I hope, though ACL injuries are the absolute worse you could get as a footballer. chelseayouthfan 2
Very excited about the current crop coming through. We have Jeremie Boga, strong and technically very good playing up a year and is progessing very nicely, surely going to be playing youth football this year. Sam Monjack, who from what I've heard from sources at the club, is one of the best technical center midfielders there is, but physically he is nowhere near at the level of the other boys yet. And another to watch out for is Charlie Colkett, left footed attacking midfielder, very very skillful and brilliant technique, very exciting. This could be a very promising midfield 3, with Sam holding and keeping things together with short simple passes, charlie with the longer passes and through balls, and Jeremie going on runs and terrifying defences. Could be the next Xavi, Iniesta and Messi ?

chelseayouthfan 2
Was at the u15 game vs Southampton today, absolutely stunning performance. Hatrick from Muktar ali, 1 from Dom Solanke, and 1 from young Sam Monjack, who absolutely ran the game. His movement was 1st class, dropping into little pockets into midfield never giving the ball away, and hitting one of the best assists I've seen from someone at that age, inch perfect ball over the top into Dom Solankes path and simple tap in for Dom, absolutely sublime assist, very impressed and i know Chelsea have high hopes for this boy once physically he can properly compete, very impressive. rover 28
Yesterday the boys U-18 tour in Cardif City. The result was 2-2.Chelsea have played U -18:Chelsea: (4-3-3): Mitchell Beeney, Sam Bangura, Dion Conroy, Alistair Gordon, Nortei Nortey; Anjur Osmanovic (Danny Stenning 70), Archangel Nkumu ©, Jeremy God, Tom Howard, Reece Mitchell (Walter Figueira h / t), Ismail Seremba.Chelsea Under 18s were left to rue a host of missed chances as we allowed a two-goal lead to slip away at Cardiff City.Andy Myers, who took charge for the game, had a largely inexperienced squad of players to choose from following the FA Youth Cup final first leg victory against Blackburn Rovers at Stamford Bridge on Friday night.Archange Nkumu captained the side, while there were also starts for the likes of Alistair Gordon, Nortei Nortey, Anjur Osmanovic and Ismail Seremba.Amid blistery conditions, the Blues had the advantage of playing with the wind in our backs in the first half, and it proved telling, with Myers's side making a positive start. Our build-up play was impressive, but our inability to find a killer pass in and around the penalty area was proving to be our downfall early on.Cardiff, to their credit, were defending stubbornly in the opening exchanges, but it wasn't long before our pressure told. The Blues were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box midway through the first half and it was Anjur Osmanovic who stepped up to take it. As the ball swung in, Nkumu reacted quickest, taking one touch to control and another to fire into the back of the net to give us an early advantage. With the home side on the ropes following our goal, we began to take control, and shortly after our lead was doubled.Tom Howard picked up possession out wide on the right-hand side from Sam Bangora, and the winger exchanged neat passes with Reece Mitchell before leaving the Cardiff goalkeeper with no chance from a powerful drive at the near-post to make it 2-0.The second half started with the hosts taking a more direct approach to the game as they looked to hit back as quickly as possible.Within a matter of minutes they were back in it, when some slack defending allowed the Bluebirds' striker too much time to turn, and his effort left Mitchell Beeney with no chance.A half which had started badly quickly got worse for the Blues when Cardiff were awarded a controversial penalty soon after.Alistair Gordon was harshly adjudged to have brought down his man inside the box, although it appeared to be little more than a coming together between two physical players. However, the decision had been made, and the resulting kick was dispatched to level proceedings.Given the nature of the equaliser and the inexperience of our players on show, it would have been understandable had we crumbled under the pressure.Cardiff's second, however, appeared to spark us into life during the closing stages as we went in search of the winner, and while there were certainly chances for us to steal it, poor decision making in the final third saw the match end all square.Myers, while disappointed with the fact we let a 2-0 lead slip, was pleased overall with a spirited display under difficult circumstances.'It was a difficult pitch but I was very pleased with the way the boys applied themselves and some of the football we tried to play,' he said.'They were a credit to themselves. Most of them would have been at the Youth Cup final on Friday night supporting the other lads, it was an early start and to go there and play the way we did was brilliant for everyone connected with the club.'Our Under 18s are unbeaten in a long time and the fact we had so many school boys playing, and the way we looked to play out from the back, even in tough conditions, was great to see.'chelseafc
