Steve's XI fires early Warning!

After a terrific win over his closest rivals Steve the manager of Steve's XI fires a warning at the X-Rated Manager. "You think you are some big shot but its easy to run your mouth when you have not faced the best!"

Next season can not come around quick enough to see how this firey encounter turns out. This just might be one of the biggest rivalries to come from this great league!

When you tightly mark a player you put all the emphasis on defending against him, considering Maldini wasn't even my playmaker. Instead just a drone in a 5 man midfield, I'd say you got that wrong. Cheating against a ref of this quality was also a bad move. I predicted you to add a win bonus so I did the same, although it was the smallest amount possible, thus mathematically (according to xperteleven rules) only made a 5% difference anyway.

Hmm, true. Though I thought I had done well by tightening the wings and so I thought I could sneak a draw or even a win. Though it did provide a tense match, thought I'd nick in the 88th minute. Ah well, there's always next season :champions:

Terrible result for me, but I'm not entirely surprised either. I was kind of hoping for at least a draw but Steves XI has had an immense record throughout the league. Congratulations Steve!

I see lots of "top" teams have many midfielders in their squad, are they all playing defensive 4-5-1? 5-4-1? 5-5-0? What's the logic in this game for success?

Unpredictability is key, if you play the same formation over and over, it's easy to prepare against.

How can I see what the other team is fielding/ has fielded in past games? Is there much difference in terms of goal scoring when it comes to formations like 4-3-3 vs. 4-5-1?

Clevemayer showed his pleasure about winning the game against The officials whom caused his team many problems at the Beginning of the Season:

'it was a really tight encounter and a good game, really nice to watch for the fans but our better condition and our strategy have been better so we're deserved winners. It was an important game, we could get some facts right about shareing points with them at the beginning of the season, this was hard to take because we played the first time against them at home and we thought we could've won it but thats the way and they've a quality squad, by the way it was a strange time anyway loosing to newly promoted London Royals before that game too'

Asked about his reaction to Terminator-X's last outburst Clevemayer had not much to say:

'Look, he would give his right hand for our position, but hey, you can have it, you hear right, I'm not interested, this is only a trophy and a game and nothin else, I just want my players to give they're best, X-Rated is a good squad and Term-X is a good manager but well too big mouthed, he would probably die for this spot, would it be on points, wins, or goal difference, the point is, no other manager would blame him for being in the first position on goaldifference, I didn't even consider saying things like that, sometimes I feel ashamed for him, and the league isn't over yet, we have to play against London Royals which is the only team that has beatn us but this time they come at our ground and we hope its a different story'

Clevemayer then talked about some if's:

'If, and thats a big if, if we win this league, I will drive the trophy to Term-X and put some bows o it and give it as a present to him, the league isn't decided, we just want a strong finisehd and are not interested, we've achieved what we wanted, play'n with the big guns at the top of the Table and thats it"
