The current season end's the Tuesday after the Community Shield. A few days after that (probably Friday) every team will get a change report (decrease or increase in players skill), then Alex will start the new season, which your team will be in.

Tactics count the most in games. Get your tactics right, and you're bound to win a few games. And try saving some sponsor money to buy players at the start of the season. You can find skilled players with good compatibility with your team for cheap if they are a bit old.
