Kostas 1,468
All those rumors to Real Madrid and Man City were no doubt created by Arnesen himself to make those teams aware he was available. Nobody but Hamburg, a midtable German team, wanted him which says it all.Interesting theory but you can't overlook the fact that he would never gotten the control he'll have at Hamburn with either Real Madrid or City. Styles 9,790
All of his players are under 20 years old.Doesn't take much scouting ability to spot the most highly rated youngsters and barge in with Roman's money. Anyways we'll see how many of 'his' players become useful to the Chelsea senior squad, I doubt it will be more than 1 or 2. And let's keep in mind that McEachran, by far and away the best young player at the club, was already here before Arnesen arrived.
Kostas 1,468
To his credit, besides international and regional scouting he's been also responsible for the reforming of our academy. You can't take away from that.

You can't take away from that.Well duh. It's to be expected considering he was starting from scratch and working for a club with unlimited resources. With the amount of money he has spent and his various promotions he should have something more tangible to show than 'reforming an academy' that pretty much never existed before he came! Let`s name a few: Robben, Ronaldo, Stam , Van Nistelroy. Its way to soon to judge him and the academy, in facti`m sure the future will prove you`re wrong. He was probably as famous as Neymar is now when he signed for PSV.

He was probably as famous as Neymar is now when he signed for PSV.Ronaldo Luis Lima was 18 years old and had just finshied the 94 world cup in USA, and Arnesen gets the boy on contractbefore everybody else, tell me if that`s not super scouting what is then?. Scouting the next Brazilian wonderkid after he took part in the World Cup isn't impressive. Getting him to sign is.

Jose M 140
WE LOOK IN GOOD HANDS! PA with plenty of power The name Marina Granovskaia will not mean anything to football supporters. But it means a lot to agents and power-brokers at the leading clubs; for she is emerging as one of the most influential people in the game. Granovskaia is Roman Abramovich’s PA at Chelsea and the decision was made some time ago to relocate her from Stamford Bridge to the training ground at Cobham. Granovskaia has become a hugely influential figure. Indeed it was she who was the conduit for Chelsea’s two big transfer deals of the January window — the signing of Fernando Torres and David Luiz — rather than the club’s sporting director Frank Arnesen. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/8375076/Chelseas-Kaka-fantasy-may-come-true.html
