The Skipper 20,609
Sociedad are a really nice team to watch, I think he'd fit right in. Could be a good loan spell for him providing he steps up and provides the goods.
herpthederp 122
The Sociedad move looks more likely. Seems like Dos Santos will be staying at Barca.
CHOULO19 24,332
I do hope this goes through. Would be a brilliant loan if he can get regular minutes. Because he won't get regular playing time in the PL and the Championship does not suit him at all. Spain looks to me like the best solution. Gilvorak 3,734
I find it ridiculous to assume he wouldn't get playing time in the PL but he would start for a CL club. Real Sociedad would wipe the floor with 60% of the teams in the League lol.Hope this isn't another Swansea situation where there will be 2/3 starters ahead of him. Tomo 21,751
Is their a playing time clause we can put in? like for example if he doesn't feature for 4 or start for 7 we can re-call him?

Most of the teams aside from the top 4 in England still rely on physicality and hoofing the ball up the pitch while Josh thrives on possession football, off the ball movement and quick passing. Josh is technically 10 times better than any midfielder at Stoke or West Ham for example, but he wouldn't get into their team because he can't play their style. And he obviously won't get into the teams of the top 4 teams because they have better options available. On the other hand, Sociedad, although better than Stoke and West Ham, play fast, free-flowing football. So Josh can get into their lineup because that is exactly his style of play. olivertwist 23
If there's one player I want to make it at chelsea the most, it's this kid. Even ahead of chalobah, ake, boga and RLC, simply because he's a regista and players with such qualities are extremely rare to find and he has the talent and potential to reach the top level in that position. just to put into perspective how rare top quality registas are, of all the thousands of wonderkids in football, only Alcantara (arguable), Veratti,Oliver torres and our own Josh qualifies as one now compare that to other positions where you had find literally 100's of highly talented payers.Even at the more established level, you can count them on one hand- Xavi,Pirlo, Alonso,Modric,Bastian,Banega and david pizarro? of those, 4 are old and past their prime. CHOULO19 24,332
Won and scored a pen in a 2-0 friendly win for the U21s. I didn't watch it, but heard that he had an excellent game and ran everything in midfield for us. Hannah and Bir_CFC
herpthederp 122
Missed out on an England U21 call-up. Hope it's just because he's trying to negotiate his loan move.
Kojo 4,676
If it's true that he's going to Spain then best of luck to him, I still have faith in him that he will be a very good midfielder in the future. People forget that time is on his side, he's like what 20 now? very young for someone who is going to be playing as a deep midfielder one day. Vybz Kartel 1,613
I think he is key for us if we are to implement that possession based football, his ball retention and distribution is really good
Phil Driver 503
Josh off injured after 25 mins of u/21 game v Spurs , he has got to toughen up because the lad is quality but still weak . Current score is 1-3 to Spurs at Aldershot fair crowd there and a few Chelsea songs to be heard .
NishC300 1,865
So what happened about McEachran's loan move to Sociedad. If we don't loan him out, I think he could still get game time in the Capital One Cup, Earlier rounds of the FA Cup and when we play shit teams in the Champions League. We could use him a bit like Buttner was used by Fergie IF we don't loan him out.
