- 25 - 167
Pretty much everyone on that list thinks we'll be there or thereabouts, I tend to agree but as we all know it only takes one shite ref and we're out.Lol at Deco clearly not getting that euphemism at the end. chrismada9 1,948
I think we can do it this year, I think we have the right players, and the right manager, so why not??
BLionheart 516
there is not one team that i am afraid that we can fall against . so i think we are very well equipped as we have already proved in the last 6 years .also i think we have had our fair share of Missed final penalties and fuckin blind refrees , so i hope that this year won't be as unlucky as years before .although i can see one threat and they are real madrid , it's not because they are better or fitter or stronger but we all know why , it's the same reason for our exit last year . clearly mourinho holds a mental advantage over chelsea , as much as i hate to admit it but mentally if we face madrid they will have the advantage . hopefully that won't be a problem because they can easily get knocked out by any other big team so let's just hope we get away from them and we are fine . Rambo 1,729
the real player to watch is Didier Drogba.
gary gordon 1,777
I don't think the team is well enough equipped to win the CL. Sure we have a good team, but when you compare it to the likes of Barcelona, we really have work to do. We lack the Depth of most teams in a sense that if we get 2-3 injuries to key players, we are screwed. We need a specialist attacking right back who can dominate in the air as well as on the ground.. I also feel that we don't yet have a Plan B.. i think every great team needs a differant formula/formation when they are playing a team that is very hard to break down..Although, the game is at Wembley so if we do make it, i would be much more confident of success.. BRMC 12
Id love to knock Barcelona out this year edit: I think it will be the semis or maybe the final again for us this time.
BlueLion. 21,491
I think any one of the following teams can win it:Inter, Chelsea, Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal or Bayern Munich.
zolayes 14,489
usually I am optimistic but have just read the forecasts by The Daily Hate Mail "Experts". Of the seven 4 tip BARCA 1 REAL MADRID and TWO tip CHELSEA ...moreover FOUR tip Chelsea as runners up ...Incidentally I can see how people can tip winners but only an idiot can tip BOTH finalists in an unseeded competition ..BUT they are "experts" for the Mail
Kostas 1,468
Nice to see most of us Chelsea fans being so positive,I personally can't see us winning it as I've given up on it after the Farcelona crime.IMHO we're not good enough, but even if we were something would stop us. Madmax 9,219
Barring last year I think we've been extremely unlucky in the CL. No matter what happens we'll be there or thereabouts that's for sure. We've got a better squad than last year, some of the dead wood has been cleared and a few youngsters brought in, which is always good. It's a better mix of youth and experience this time round. CL is too difficult to predict as there are too many variables in play but I think we should be able to reach the semis, and from thereon it's anybody's game. CHD 30
Unortunately it will depend on officiating
BlueLion. 21,491
I believe in karma. What goes around comes around. We've had fuck all in terms of luck in Europe - someday we'll get the benefit and some other team will be cursing their bad fortune.
Duppy Conqueror 1,533
well we should have won 2 or 3 already and this year i am the least optimistic ive ever been since we first qualified 10 years ago...mainly due to the fact that the strength of our squad is weaker than it has been in the past..well perhaps not weaker but definately with less proven players in Europe. so with all that in mind i have voted that we will win it...i figure we due some fair refs...to be cheated out of yet another trophy would bring too much publicity and U.E.F.A and Twatini would be in danger of being investigated and exposed for rigging games.looking at our possible opponents throughout the competition i cant say theres any team that i`d want Chelsea to avoid playing...would relish us knocking out Jose and Real. Barcelona? bring them on..is only David Villa who i think would give us a lot of trouble due to the lack of pace we have on the right flank...Ash always takes care of the Argie midget Messi..i got a hunch we will win it this year and we will play a suprise team in the final..perhaps a Lyon, Schalke,Benfica,Fiorentina....somebody like that..
