tbh as much as i used to love mourinho, i dont really want him back. i love ancelotti and we play so much better under him. he wants to stay at chelsea for a long time and we need a manager like that. mourinho isnt that type of manager at all. he needs money and doesnt help the youth and academy system much.

I'd have Carlo over Mourinho any day. I like quiet managers who prefer to go about their jobs rather than shout their mouths off about anything and everything. Precisely the reason why I hate Wenger, such a fucking moaner. Carlo's got class ... a true gentleman, not that Jose isn't, but Carlo's a lot more humble and that's something I really like and admire about him.

Let's face it, Jose will probably never return - one club is not big enough for Roman and Jose's egos.

P.S. Who was the last non-British manager before Carlo to win the traditional double in his first season as manager in England's top flight? That's right - No one. Carlo > Jose in terms of immediate impact.

Arguable.

Jose won a double too,it may not have been the traditional one but he had to beat tougher teams in the cup,not to mention winning the league with 95 points.

Besides I loved Mourinho's controversy.

1.At the end of the day, the FA Cup being the oldest club competition in the world will always hold more prestige than the Carling Cup. Besides, we can only beat the team in front of us, it's no fault of Carlo's if we came up against the so-called 'weaker' teams (if there's any such thing in a knockout style tournament). Also, those 'weaker' teams reached that stage of the competition because they had beaten the 'tougher' teams at some point, so that argument is not really valid either.

2.The league has changed so much in 6 years that the points comparison is fruitless.

3.I was never fond of Mourinho, mainly because of all his antics. Sure they were good for the laughs, but in the cold light of day, what did that help him achieve apart from media coverage, more hatred from other clubs and supporters and boos wherever he went?

....which is exactly why you can't compare their successes, you'll ultimately end up twisting facts to suit your "truth".

LOL at you playing that card. Who brought up in the points comparison? Hint - it wasn't me.

Fact - The league is more competitive now than when Mourinho arrived AND the FA Cup > League Cup, so it's an obvious conclusion that Carlo did better than Mourinho in his opening season. If you can't live with it, your problem.

Who brought up in the points comparison?

I was merely stating a fact whereas you're trying to belittle Mourinho's success for whatever reason.

And I'm not even getting into an Internet debate with you,I've been online long enough to know how they all end up

I'm not trying to belittle Mourinho's success at all. I have no grudge against him, yes I'm not a big fan of his but I respect the guy and what he's done for us. But I'm not wrong if I think Carlo has done better than him so far, don't know why you would take offence to that and develop a weird notion about me. Anyway, not my problem.

As for the debate, I'm not interested in one either, but if you accuse me of something, it's natural I'd respond, so if you don't want to have an argument, don't accuse me of something.

Carlo will become the best manager we've ever had.

I hope so.Mean seeing as when Hiddick when we were singing you can stuff Carlo so and so....and now where we are.For first year in English football despite the doubts when we started doing bad we still got the title.Mean yeh Jose did the same but hey ho.

I hope we dont sack him for a bad season or whatever. We need stablity more then anything

No chance coming back. After being told his job was safe and a few weeks later being given the flick. But hey he said he aint going Liverpool so :D can take that

and you showed little faith in Carlo ,,saying he could last then Ranieri ...in a number of threads you seem to lack faith in our ability.

Guilty
saying he could last then Ranieri ...
Are you claiming that it is not possible for him to last less than Ranieri?

I'd love Carlo to stay for at least 5 years but will anyone be honestly shocked if he does not? After what we Chelsea fans have seen in the last 5 years?

in a number of threads you seem to lack faith in our ability.
Probably guilty but I'm more prone to pointing out our weaknesses (only a fool would claim that we have none) or arguing about our faults instead of joining a wankfest that is only expected when a team performs so well.

recognising we have an excellent coach and a superb squad of players ,,IS NOT A WANK FEST as you so elegantly suggest .

I never suggest we are perfect but I dont go around expecting the worst all the time ,,AND a coach who does soon loses the confidence

of his team ,,then the fans and finally his owner.

I am VERY confident he will last longer than Ranieri ,,,But certain of course not I understand probabilty theory

You can't really compare Moruinho's first season to Ancelotti's.

Personally I think Mourinho is the better manager. I am however fond of Ancelotti and hope he manages the team a bit better than he did last year i.e. squad rotation and more chances for the likes of Sturridge. He was outsmarted by Mourinho in Europe last season and I hope he's learnt his lesson.
