I think this preseason is far more crazy than we ever did, no? Travelling every 2 days, and then you have a match for every 2-3 days. I will be surprised if we could perform consistently, to be honest.

Been kinda forced into a packed schedule due to the WC and players arriving back at all times. Will be better for pre season next year

Wasn't sure where to post this, but a few people were asking for the prematch player introductions from last night's game. Here they are:

It's the International Champions Cup for us again and the tournament will be played between July 11 and August 5, atlhough that is likely to change with the Premier League starting on August 8 next season.

http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/04/chelsea-to-take-part-in-international-champions-cup.html

Chelsea will be among a group of elite football clubs taking part in this summer’s International Champions Cup in North America.

The Blues are among 10 teams signed up to take part in the tournament, with each of our matches shown live on Chelsea TV (UK and Ireland only).

Fixture details and locations will be announced on April 28 at a tournament press conference in New York, but a list of participating teams from across Europe, Mexico and the USA is below:

Chelsea

Barcelona

Club America

Fiorentina

LA Galaxy

Manchester United

New York Red Bulls

Paris Saint-Germain

Porto

San Jose Earthquakes

What a load of fucking shite. Do the pre-season tour somewhere closer.

It doesn't matter where pre-season takes place surely. As long as the boys get a good pre-season under their belts then who cares, right? And they will playing against some decent opponents for a change rather than an mickey mouse xi.

no west coast games again? i wasn't able to go to the game against the sounders a few years ago and wanted to so bad. if it's anywhere near seattle or portland i can totally make it, and would knock one item off my bucket list.

Why? You live in England, it's easier for you to go to a game than people over here. This is likely one of the few times I'll ever see us play live.

Its nothing to do with that. All the travelling, it has an effect on the players, its pointless really, all it is is a money gainer for the club we can play top teams at home or in more ideal locations in Europe or even in England which doesn't have as much of a toll on players due to travelling.

Also I live in Scotland :D

Again like I've said above, traveling takes its toll eventually. We can play top teams anywhere, we are Chelsea football club, big teams will always be up for friendlies against us if they are possible.

Of course its good for fans who are US based to get a chance to see their team but I think its more for the money. Its ridiculous in my eyes.

The travel could take a toll, but atheltes do it all the time. Basketball players play 82 games and travel the country every 2-3 days. They should be able to handle it. Scottland is closeer to England than Indiana. [emoji12]. Why would they play those big games in Europe? YOU GUYS GET ALL THE BIG GAMES[emoji35] lol. C'mon, all we want are the friendlies. It may be a money grab, but Real, Chelsea, United, Barca, Roma, Liverpool, City, etc. All think it's a good idea.
