Dion 2,476
A energia é absurda, é simplesmente fantástico! :lol:HAHAHA. Great! I've never been to Rio's Carnival. My uncle goes often, he says it is amazing. Watching on tv it doesn't seem that awesome, but I'll see when I go myself. Hoping it lives to its hype. And sure I'm not dying before seeing that I'm not a big fan of samba myself (or axé, for that matter), but damn. It gotta be awesome to be in Rio by carnival, even if one doesn't go to samba school's parade, I mean - all those parties, tourists, people going crazy. I'm really jealous of you right now, haha.Btw, I know you said I shouldn't ask but about how much I should expect to be spending if I did go (hotel, tickets etc)? Watching on tv it doesn't seem that awesome, but I'll see when I go myself. Hoping it lives to its hype. And sure I'm not dying before seeing that About how much did everything cost? Hotel, tickets etc?LOLWell, the tickets cost 600 reais/person for the two days and a before party. I know, but it is once in a lifetime! The hotel cost 1350 for 3 nights for 5 people (but we are only in 4). The things on the beach are expensive as hell, 5 reais for a coconut water and 4.5 for a corn. Apart from that it is pretty similar to SP, not buying anything in particular. Also, the amount of gas I spent is stupid. My girl has a convertable and it makes 6km/liter, OUCH!EDIT: I really need to go, I am already very late (will miss the first samba school because people told me they are shit, lol). It always gets lost in the mess with the other 'superior' Australian cities, it's complete nonsense really. Though the CBD has horrid road infrastructure.No...what happens?? Yeah, it's used in that sense fairly often buuuuut. Ain't is actually a really weird word, personally I hate even though I use it often. It's actually a contraction of 'am' and 'not'.'I ain't Irish.' = 'I am not Irish.'They don't really teach that word in Primary School or High School here, the only reason I know is that I stumbled upon it studying one day. It's also used instead of haven't (as in "I ain't seen him in 2 weeks") and doesn't as in "that cat ain't got no tail". I never use it because it really doesn't shorten anything "I'm not Irish" ain't no harder to say than "I ain't Irish".I almost never hear it used in person except when people want to do southern accents.. Particularly with the people that are more or less proud of their ignorance. It's an ugly word.
