Because they are probably more comfortable and safer than listening through earphones

Thoughts? And what does th SPL DB 112 thing mean. I thought under 85db was a safe listening level.

I have the same headphones! But mine are white

I also highly recommend it. The lows are very, very good, but not too bassy like beats headphones and others. Mids and highs are also good, but there are better headphones in that range. If you like to listen to rock you can't go wrong with the ATH-M50.
