https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/premierleague/10716405/porn-elle-brooke-mcburnie-swansea-sheffield-united/

Elle, who has starred in films such as Golden Shower Girls 2, is clearly a big fan of the Sheffield United striker.

He has previously sent the porn star a signed Blades shirt - and asked her in a tweet if she had received it.

‘It’s not just another shoe’: Inside the creation of Nike’s one-of-one boots for Ballon d’Or winner Megan Rapinoe

https://theathletic.com/1436623/2019/12/05/its-not-just-another-shoe-inside-the-creation-of-nikes-one-of-one-boots-for-ballon-dor-winner-megan-rapinoe/

Only a moment after Megan Rapinoe had been announced as the winner of the second-ever women’s Ballon d’Or award, Nike’s senior director of global communications, Heidi Burgett, revealed that the company had been prepared for the occasion by creating a pair of commemorative one-of-a-kind pink and gold Mercurials. From Lieke Martens to Carli Lloyd to Alex Morgan to Sam Kerr, Megan Rapinoe is the latest Nike athlete to get this type of tribute.

Although standard versions of the 2019 Mercurial 360 Vapor/Superfly can be purchased by the public, and Nike gets attention for the novelty of one-off productions, these boots were the latest example of the effort that goes into something that will never reach the market. Even with the knowledge that there is some sort of commercial reward for Nike when they produce commemorative customs for their athletes, the designers and staff take these efforts seriously.

Complicating the matter is that Nike usually has to get the ball rolling long before an award is given or a milestone reached. There is some risk involved — that the boots might never see the light of day, which has happened before. That, of course, is the joy and heartbreak of sports, and something Nike has no control over.

But it also means that when the company is able to share their efforts, it makes it more special for everyone involved. Nike considers commemorative boots as gifts rather than promotional materials for the company — so much so that the team behind the commemorative Mercurials for Rapinoe didn’t even want to go on the record about the design process. It was a team effort, they insisted, and one only meant to highlight Megan Rapinoe and her accomplishments.

For this particular boot, the inspiration is clear enough. The Nike design team started with the 2019 Mercurial 360 — a boot that Rapinoe had been one of the first to wear last summer at the World Cup. In fact, she was the first player to score while wearing the latest version. From there, the team moved onto the colorway and took inspiration from two sources: Rapinoe’s signature hair color she started sporting this year, and trophy gold.

It was more than just getting the pink right — a shade which apparently took real effort to meet the design team’s standards. The trick to commemorative boots for a specific player is that they have to be designed without that person’s input, but still take inspiration from them. The designers tried to copy Rapinoe’s love of accessorizing with her fashion, but the concept never translated to a smaller scale in a way that worked.

ALFA ROMEO 2000 GTV: BEAUTY IN BLUE

https://www.opumo.com/magazine/alfa-romeo-2000-gtv/

Price: £25,995 | Year: 1973 | Engine: 4 in-line

The Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV, also known as the 2000 GT Veloce, hit the market in 1971 with the 2000 Berlina Saloon and 2000 Spider which replaced the previous 1750 range. The 2000 came with some serious improvements, most notably, the engine displacement was increased to 1962cc.

One of the most recognisable features of the Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV is its grill with horizontal chrome bars which, from 1974 onwards, became a standard fixture on the GT 1300 Junior and GT 1600 Junior too. Within the vehicle, a separate instrument cluster was introduced instead of having the gauges installed in the dashboard.

Technicalities aside, this machine really shines because of its gorgeous Le Mans paintwork. The spotless light blue hue marries perfectly with the cream leatherette upholstery that exudes signature vintage appeal.

A view into the cockpit reveals the retro dashboard of dreams. Wooden panelling on the dash matches the steering wheel and gear stick while the gauge layout is still distinctively modern. Dropping into the driver’s seat is like stepping into a time machine showing you the best that ‘70s car design had to offer.

We can’t help but feel that the only rightful place for this beauty is a road trip throughout its home country of Italy, winding around coastal stretches in the golden evening light.

Had dozens of Nikes and Adidas over the years. First were Adidas sambas about 1971 after seeing Hudson and Osgood training in them.

If I had to come down on durability and comfort rather than style (tend to do that at my age) Nike would win. Huarache for comfort and Airforce 1s for sole durability.
