Don't you forget about Guus

And Ranieri did it...when Mourinho arrived Chelsea was aready a Champions League side...and finished as runner-up the previous season...do you really believe that if Mourinho arrives now at Manchester City he will make them champions next season?

People talk about Mourinho as if he have done magic, assuming a poor side and transforming them in kings of England. Thats not fair.

Simple answer....No.

But there's a difference between City of now and Chelsea pre-Mourinho. We were winning trophies every other year before he arrived. City havent won anything worth talking about for 30 odd years.

Yeh, but you got my point...of course that Mourinho was the reason Chelsea become succesful during his ternure, but he found a pretty decent side, thanks to Ranieri...Guus deserves some credits in that level.

If Mourinho had found a poor side when he arrived, Chelsea would not have won back to back Premier Leagues that easy.

Did I ?

Hiddink was here for a few months and all he done imo was brought a togetherness to the squad that was shot to pieces under Scolari. Ancelotti brought in 3 players who have made little impact this season in Turnbull, Zhirkov and Sturridge. So he's basically working with the same players Hiddink and Scolari had before him.

I'm not undermining what Hiddink done for Chelsea during his short spell, what I do think is that you're giving him too much credit and undermining what Ancelotti has achieved. Ancelotti is not a fresh face as far as managers are concerned. He's been there and got the t-shirt several times.

I think we already have thanked Guus for his work in the way we said goodbye to him at his last game at The Bridge last season and with the huge THANK YOU GUUS flag at last seasons cup final. We all know Guus saved our season last year and we all appreciate, respect that and have thanked him for it. But like the other guys said. To suggest our double year is down to him is wrong.

We thank Hiddink for LAST SEASON and winning us the FA Cup, but THIS SEASON is all down to Carlo, he has won us the DOUBLE.

Ivanovic was already a right back when we signed him, Malouda's talent was always there he just had to find his feet.

This season's success is all down to Carlo IMO.

And then we can say Raniere made the job easier for Mourinho, and Mourinho made it easier for Avram.

It will never end.

Guus is my favorite coach in the world. Numero 1, follow by Marcelo Bielsa, but you are going a bit way out of line there.

Cause if you give that much credit to Guus, then we might as well give a lot more to Raniere for setting the backbone of Chelsea before Mourinho took over!

We should all say thanks to England for creating this lovely game Americans call SOCCER :eyebrows:

And you must be a fool to think only Americans call it Soccer.....

No. Sometimes it ends. Carlo's legacy is zero. The new manager will start from point zero. Carlo did not anything new that the new manager might use.

One year ago I already had my doubts about Carlo abilities. Right after the double I was saying he wasnt this genious as some would like to believe. Thats why I dont accept the term "plastic fan". I think its more apropriated to describe people who consider a manager a legend after one single season. His trophies in his first season werent enough to made up my mind, and his poor form in this season showed that Hiddink legacy wasnt as small as people said.

A great coach is supposed to turn things in difficult moments. Carlo doesnt have such skill.
