I thought he'd done an aurelio take II when he stepped forward when bentley lobbed it, luckily he did save it. I thought yuri did okay today as well except when he got done for pace by bale but i guess that'd happen to most of our players. I'm a big fan of old yuri.

I think I was being a bit unfair about Yuri, because he had a torrid first half. However he was decent in the second half, so his performance probably warrants a small amount of praise.

I think overall Cech had a very good season. Barely saw any bloopers, and he showed some exceptional keeping throughout the season (like against Arsenal at home!).

In last 5 games against Portsmouth, Villa, United, Bolton and Tottenham Cech played really well and I think he is the reason why we had this great series in defence along with Alex. Throughout the season he maintained his level and if we win the league he will definitely be one of our most deserved players this season.

Agreed. Had a bit of a shaky patch mid-way through but some of his clean sheets (Arsenal at home, Bolton the other night, etc.) have been crucial.

Cech always has been a fantastic keeper bar last season where there was something wrong with him!

Saw the "highlights" of the ...."game" yesterday and Cech really was world class, he was alert about everything coming to him and was on of the couple of players with the CFC crest that looked interested in the game

He is really the heart of the Chelsea defence line, not Alex nor Terry, he is the one who has been giving us the edge throughout the season, had his moments, but went back to the Cech we all know. To bad the boys fucked up while he was superb, let's hope they can fight back against Liverpool for the win, and take it for a more comfortable ride to the title for Chelsea.

He's now got a reputation as a dodgy keeper but he rarely makes mistakes but when he does make them they're highlighted more than other keepers. He makes so many crucial saves and I still think he's one of the best in the world. Although my opinion could be slightly bias as I'm a GK.

Let's hope he can follow in Van Der Sar's footsteps and carrry on strong into his late 30's/early 40's.

Bad point is his kicking? He's one of the most accurate distributors in the league. FFS. He's been delivering 70 yard balls onto Drogba's chest for the last five years!

Off the top of my head the game vs Manure a couple a weeks ago, about 4-5 clearences going out into touch but never mind.

So glad Petr is playing well, he is one of the best GK's in the world.

Oh okay, there was one fixture in hundreds where his kicks weren't very good... If you ever want to know why the long ball system has been so succesful at Chelsea during recent periods when it's been played, then look no further than Drogba's hold up play and Cech's kicking ability.
