LDN Blue 7,903
Bruma had a solid full debut. He didn't make any mistakes,if some of our other center backs where in Brumas position when he was out jumped by Heskey no one would notice. But the pressure was on him and he did very well.People forget he is just 19 and still has a lot to learn, but in my opinion job well done. When we conceded the goal perhaps Cech should have stopped it no matter if he thought it was an offside position. All the fans recognised his debut was almost perfect. Had a very good game, him vs Heskey was a miss-match from the off, but he handled him very well (aside from the goal) but sometimes that happens. The Guardian (I think it was) blamed him for not beating Heskey, I don't and I'd argue with anyone who suggests he should've had Heskey. 5354 204
I think he had a decent game, a few mistakes on the way but not the massive ones. Heskey mistake seems more like Ferreira blocking Bruma's view...
Fulham Broadway 17,315
Reports this morning he's going on loan to Hamburg. (OK its only goal.com and the German Telegraph)Now this might not be as mental as it sounds, it could mean theres a quality defender on the way. However knowing how Chelsea work they probably think now Boswingwas fit they can play Ferreira at centre back
EskWeston 696
The best thing for Bruma would be a loan to be honest, at his age he needs games and he isn't getting them.

The only difficulty being when Alex, Ivanovich, Terry get injured/suspended they rely on people like Ferreira or Essien (who did a good job last time btw)
Kostas 1,468
We were retarded enough to start the season with 3 senior CBs + a kid who our coach doesn't like. With Bruma on loan, Alex possibly out for longer and a new signing coming in we'll be left with 3 again.Sounds like us.
EskWeston 696
Again the poor planning within the club has left us in a difficult position. Bruma to inexperienced seemingly to be relied upon by Carlo yet too important to go on loan to get experience. Is a poor position these young players are being left in, not games to play to further their development.....
Peace. 4,352
If it was up to me, I would keep him here and give him more playing time... 'Cause imo before looking for a new defender we have to look for : 1. A coach who doesn't have to save his job 2. A Right Winger 3. An attacking midfielder 4. A Right Back
EskWeston 696
In reality you do no favours to an 18 year old player keeping him around the first team unless he is at a club where he will play at least 50% of games. At that age players need games to develop and mature into the players they can be and fulfill their potential. This season he has made 3 starts for the first team with 2 addition sub appearances with 3 more reserve starts, that is no-where near enough for a player who is still developing. Until you are REALLY going to allow a young player to compete for first team oppertunities then why keep them around. It isn't fair for Bruma to only get a game if both Alex and Ivanovic are out, he needs to be allowed the oppertunity to show he can play more regular. LDN Blue 7,903
I sincerely hope we don't send him out till a replacement is signed. Then again, with our board..

Madmax 9,219
Hopefully our board will grow a brain sometime in the (near) future, AND STOP RUINING THE CLUB!
Kostas 1,468
http://www.dailystar...lho-at-Chelsea/ Everyone was disappointed about Carvalho leaving because he had six very good years with this club and did a fantastic job last year. But his desire was to leave this club, to try a new emotion and new experience. And we have in our academy a fantastic centre-back (Bruma) and we want to give him more possibility to play.I didn't try to persuade Riccy to stay because that was a decision that he took at the end of the last year. The last game of the last year, he said to me that he would like to leave this club and for this reason, he went to Real Madrid. Am I after David Luiz? No. We have Terry, Ivanovic, Alex and Bruma, so we are OK. And I won't go into the market for a central defender.Funny how things change. termninja 5,290
http://www.dailystar...lho-at-Chelsea/ Funny how things change. That looks cool on paper but Alex is injured, Carlo's job unsecure and he's a bit scared to play Bruma unless he has to. Now compare this to Arsenal and Wenger. Vermaelen is injured, Djourou is probably worse then Bruma though with some experience, Squillaci is oldish and Koscielny nothing special yet he sticks with them and has full confidence in these guys. That's why Arsenal's best players are all around 25 (Fabregas and Nasri 23!), and our best players all above 30 years old.

magic weeds 446
Now its pretty clear that the lad will be heading to WBA. This will be a nice move. even though I dont see this coming. its just too late for him to pass medical etc. unless WBA board is camped outside Cobham waitng for any Luiz deal to go through. Peace. 4,352
Chelsea allow defender Jeffrey Bruma to join Leicester on loan Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma will complete a loan move to Leicester next week. The Dutchman, 19, is being allowed to join Sven Goran Eriksson's side after the champions' defensive injury problems abated. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti agreed the deal could go through next Tuesday when emergency loans can be processed. Eriksson is also likely to allow striker Martyn Waghorn, 21, to move on loan to Derby.
