let's forget that for a second..

if they had won tonight the gap between our club and theirs would be even more wide, they would have been the only team to win it back to back

so that's why i question any Chelsea fan out their who wanted man-u to win.

any Chelsea fan who wanted man-u to win tonight was wanting them to make history to further put a gap between our club and alex fergusons.

If we were close to them title wise, I would agree. But we aren't....so the gap is irrelevant to me AT THE MOMENT. We have a long way to go and them winning tonight wouldn't change anything.

Their fans would still be themselves

Their coach would still be him

Their players will still be playing next year

Their owners will still be spending

Listen, I am NOT SAYING I disagree with you that those WANTING United to win makes me....disgusted....but some Chelsea fans did and you know what, Barca losing would have made me happy as well.

Whatever mate, shit happens. Which definitely means that even if Man U had won tonight , they wouldn't be the first ones to have their hands on next season's trophy just because there was a "big gap" between us

I beg to differ. The final league table may show we werent up for the fight this season, but our second half showed we were more than a match for them and everyone else who went through us like a hot knife through butter.

If we have that mentality and commitment going into next season then Manu will have one hell of a fight on their hands wether they had won tonight or not.

I was talking about history wise, not right now

Of course.

But my point is, United is already ahead of us in total titles and them adding one more doesn't kill us for next year since IMO our players care about the here and now and not whether United added a trophy to their history advantage.

Even if United had won, I don't see anything differently occuring to their roster that would have changed had a different outcome occured tonight

wtf of course it matters.. we have almost an infinity of years of life on planet earth

so their is plenty of time for Chelsea to become number 1 in england in terms of history.

.. and they have only limited time with alex ferguson as manager so any year he loses a chance to make history is a great year in the grand scheme of things for Chelsea football club.

Why? Why would I care? Can I do something about it? If not, why would I get mad/angry about it?

Maybe you get angry over it, I couldn't care less because we can't do anything about their lead right now.

I only ask myself....what can we do to win every title next season?

I am sure the team is asking themselves the same thing rather than worrying that United is X titles ahead of us and if they make it bigger by 1 more....I doubt it effects them one bit.

I couldnt care if they had 18 titles or 118 titles. The only thing that matters to me is the next one.

Roll on next season.

spot on stu. who gives a shit if they on the league in 1954 or whatever? i only care for the present and future, not what happened fucking last year. I don't give a shit whether united or liverpool has more league trophies than us from the past. it means little in my eyes.
