I watched it back last night and it's quite clear the players are not even fucking arsed. Some are walking when they should be pressing, some are jogging when they are meant to be sprinting and the biggest worry of all is the majority look like they don't fucking care. I think this all coupled together they have had it with this manager.

The league position may say different but as whole we are a million miles away from Newcastle as a club and team. The stadium is vibrant and loud, the players are passionate, the fans are loyal and proud, the management structure is excellent with a clear identity and with a trophy in the bank they will only push on, I'm really jealous of what they are and what they can achieve.

We need a monumental summer the problem being I don't think the owners want the same us, they want the cheap and easy buys and to go through the motions.

Really tired of it

I think the fact that we threw away top 4 (and potentially UCL football next season) actually helps the owners continue the 'buy young' strategy.

Maybe if Maresca and the players were serious, we would have won those games against the likes of Ipswich...

I think they did want it, but they blew their money on junk. Now, aside from the fact they themselves have exhausted the cash injected into the club, we no longer have scope in financial rules to buy players on top wages and in fact need to continue to lower them by getting rid of high earners on the books at the mo

Only way back is to get back into and stay in CL, get some proper sponsorship deals on the go, continue to cash in on players when we can and eventually get a stadium sorted. Maybe in 5 years we'll be in a good position as a top club with top players on top wages, best case. Most likely is 10 years+ or just never returning to that level. Too many years of being run into the ground already behind us.

That or we start to cheat like City did, which I hope we do not.
