Another right winger? 🤦‍♂️

Seems adaptable - ''A left-footed winger able to play on both sides of the attack, Moreira is described as a fast, explosive and technically gifted footballer, most notably excelling in dribbling past his opponent.''

We are delighted to announce that Chelsea Academy defender Isago Silva has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 17-year-old has been a Blue since joining us ahead of his Under-13s season. In that time, he has developed into a versatile and reliable defender, comfortable operating at both left-back and centre-back.

During his Under-16s campaign in 2024/25, Isago Silva made his Under-18s debut against Leicester City.

This season, he featured in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Sheffield United in the Under-18 Premier League Cup. He has also appeared three times in our Under-17 Premier League Cup campaign.

Congratulations, Isago!

Chelsea Football Club is pleased to announce that Academy defender Landon Emenalo has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until at least 2031.

Emenalo joined Chelsea’s Academy at Under-8s level, before spending time at Monaco and returning to the Blues as an Under-13. While progressing through the ranks at Cobham, he has shown himself to be a composed and intelligent player, who thrives under pressure in high-intensity moments.

He made his Under-21s debut as a schoolboy in the 2023/24 Premier League Cup. After signing his scholarship ahead of 2024/25, Emenalo turned professional in January 2025 and quickly became a regular for our Under-21s across all competitions, primarily as a left-back. That has continued into this season, when he has also featured for the younger age groups in the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup.

The 18-year-old has also been involved with the men’s first team, appearing on the bench for last season’s UEFA Conference League fixture against Legia Warsaw and the Premier League trip to Liverpool, as well as the UEFA Champions League win over Pafos in the current campaign.

In international football, Emenalo has previously represented the USA at youth level and, more recently, England’s Under-18s team.

Congratulations, Landon!
