No but between them and FIFA, if the other big clubs & leagues keep complaining or get the impression their standings could be under threat they’re going to look into doing something, aren’t they?

No way FIFA & UEFA are going to easily let the Saudi’s disrupt the established order so to speak in European & World football. I mean look at how many big clubs wanted a European Super League to protect their status and prevent being knocked off their perch as elitist clubs in a non relegation, money spinning league… Is the Saudi money and league going to reignite this sort of idea? I wouldn’t be surprised and then the narrative will be “the Saudi investment means we had to do this”.

UEFA whunged to FIFA about the Chinese and FIFA did fuckall

Bono to Al Hilal for GK, KK in defence. SMS and Neves in MF. Verratti still possible. And Neymar, Malcom, Mitrovic on a way as well in attack. Another solid player Brazilian Mitchel and Peruvian Carilllo. Don't forget Saudi beat Argentina on WC so their best players are not so bad. So 4 best teams will end up with 7,8 top players in starting lineup. A couple of solid internationals and best Saudi players. Top5 leagues aside they are already there ahead of anyone else.

Looks like Neymar will end up there. Was expected so much more from him in his career. Failed to win WC with Brazil, CL with PSG, in Barcelona he was in Messi shadow and this is the end it seems.

He should of stayed at Barca. He had 2 outstanding seasons in terms of returns under Luis Enrique before leaving IIRC giving he was playing with Messi and Suarez who has outstanding years too. He would of naturally been Messi’s heir so to speak at Barcelona and really fucked up. He would of gone strength to strength and no doubt Messi would of left Barca anyway given their financial constraints so he would of naturally became the main man there.

Still, Saudi’s can sign whoever they want, the league won’t be in top 5 watched this season. Still too volatile to see if this will turn out a long term success or not because there really seems to be a lack of investment in coaching and infrastructure, compared to players.

Al-Nassr 'are eyeing a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson'... and Brazilian is 'tempted' by a switch that would see him become fourth Reds star to depart for Saudi Arabia this summer

if NUFC is a model, I think they invest in all facets of the big teams

Fee big like this needs to be investigated.

Mitrovic is supposedly going for €50m, so there's nothing surprising about this aside from another younger player making the move.

Mitrovic is worth that. I feel all fees have been fair so far. They investigated ASM from Newcastle who was like 30-35m. Otavio is worth 30m max. Also he is 28 years old.

Neither player is worth the rumoured fees. I honestly thought the latter was younger, tbh.

Most players making the move are going for inflated prices, so I don't think any action will actually be taken.
