The Next Manager?

Cannot for the life of me figure why anyone wants david moyes here. Hes not a proven winner, he will most likely require time which he wont get here, Has has no record worth talking about, never managed BIG players etc...What does he bring that has people wanting him here?

Let's not pretend that there's a clear standout after Jose and Klopp. There's a bunch of managers at the level below and off that lot Moyes has one of the more compelling cases. He knows this league, he's overachieved as manager of Everton and he's shown a willingness to be pragmatic with his tactics.

He isn't the ideal choice by any means, but I really don't think there is one if we discount the big two.

What About Hynckes? Hiddink? They're more likely to come here than Klopp anyway (they're even more likely to come here than Moyes, imo) so why not throw them in the mix?

Two pensioners who have either stated or suggested they're retiring....Neither is really a long-term option if we're being honest but if you want to throw their name into the ring then go for it.

Who would you like us to hire 6 months after we hire them?

Or because he is "EPL proven"... :halo:

In the last six season he hasn't finished below 8th despite having almost nothing to spend in the market. That's a remarkable achievement however you want to look at it and he is probably the best available manager in this league so of course he gets a mention.

Is any of the options, bar Jose, long-term? They're the same as everyone else, if they don't win trophies and challenge for the tittle they will be gone and same applies for Moyes.

Martinez is more top job calibre than Moyes. Martinez is innovative, plays a formation no one else in the league uses, and his team plays good football - the problem for him is the low quality players he has at his disposal. On the other hand i don't rate Moyes at all, not to mention Martinez knocked him out of the Fa cup, at home.

I think Martinez is an interesting manager. Like Moyes at Everton, he's probably overachieved at Wigan although they look to be going down this season. But he also begin the transformation at Swansea that Rodgers and Laudrup have built on.

The problem he has is being a bit more pragmatic and grinding out results this season. He deserves to stay in the Prem with another team but I think he's got zero chance of coming here this summer.

If you look at Moyes this season, he got Everton pushing for a Champions League spot despite making a profit in the transfer market.

Yeah we're not getting him for sure, but like Whelan keeps saying, sooner or later he will eventually land a top job. As for Moyes, yes he has done well, but i'm more concerned with the type of tactics we will be using. Everton play a lot of route one, hoof the ball to Fellaini or Anichebe stuff, as if we didn't do too much of that already lol.

I know the players Martinez has at Wigan isn't exactly great but isn't it somewhat of a concern that Wigan are always in the relegation fight every season? There just doesn't seem to be any progression whatsoever from him in taking Wigan bit by bit to the next level. Also for all the good passing football Wigan plays, Martinez seems pretty stubborn in not changing/alter the style a bit when the going gets tough. And he always go into every game trying to implement his own style of play regardless of the opposition as well as without any regards to actually stop Wigan's opponent from playing. You might get away with that managing a top team but considering Martinez is managing Wigan, he doesn't seem adaptable enough to change things around when it's not working. And his constant positivity and optimism after every match even when Wigan have lost is rather annoying.

I respect your opinion but i would not agree on it completely.

These are purely numbers which has been created and complied in a way which provides what the managers have been doing for the last 3 years. Now whether Moyes would have played a certain formation or not is very subjective at this point of time. But the person has taken the last 3 year compilation and have come up with a good stats of all the top manager, U can never get accurate projections,

In my opinion, If your an analytical guy you would understand these forecast more than anyone else.

Double post :)
