It means he can come in to the UK for 6 months, but can't work.

So basically what he does for us now! Sit at a desk with his yesmen and woman telling him what a great job they are doing with transfers!

These reports of him being more handson with transfers is slow business. Must have learned the job from Emenalo.

and Roman has become an Isreali citizen during all this..don`t know what that means regarding the visa..

He can enter the UK freely now, but for 6 months at a time. (i think)  Also doesn't pay any tax for the next 10 years.  So his income will not be touched, therefore we should notice his wealth grow a  bit

Napoli, De Laurentiis:”I hope Ancelotti stays for ten years. I couldn’t wait any longer for Sarri”

https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/napoli-de-laurentiisi-hope-ancelotti-stays-for-ten-years-i-couldnt-wait-any-longer-for-sarri

Afer finishing the season in second place, Napoli have been in the headlines with their recent coaching change. President Aurelio De Laurentiis was asked about the matter while attending the Football Leader convention:”Sarri? At a certain point I told the press that time had run out. I’m responsible for a very important club, I couldn’t keep waiting for other people’s decisions. I then decided to bring Carlo Ancelotti to Napoli, I already started working with him. I’ll never forget the time Antonio Conte strongly pursued Koulibaly by offering 58 million. I told him: Antonio what can I do with 58 million? The important thing is that he stays at Napoli. I hope Ancelotti stays with us for another ten years, but I always must think of what’s best for the club, I’ll always make moves with that objectivity in mind and I won’t be swayed by enthusiasm. Don’t worry, with Carletto we’ll do what we are supposed to”

Talks about Blanc as our prefered manager seems to gathering pace on twitter now. Feck me..

I'd be shocked if the Sarri buyout clause killed the deal, feels like a negotiating tactic. ADL will call the bluff and we will stump up the whole sum of Sarris clause. I would be shocked(but not surprised) if it went any other way.

Just pay it man. This club... didn’t hesitate to spend £35m on Drinkwater? So silly.

I seriously doubt the buy out is the problem. I think it has more to do with seeing out this fiscal year and having it on the books for next term. I expect Antonio to be sacked on the 31st and Sarri to be hired on the 1st

Saving money. Activating it now will be a waste of money. We can wait a few more days.

You realize that if we let the clause expire ADL can then ask for any amount of money he wants right? It is not like we get him for free when this expires, it could be substantially more?

A lot of people here think Sarri's contract expires on 31st.

It doesn't. Only the Release Clause 'term' expires on 31st. He'll still be under contract at Napoli on 1st June.

Which means ADL could ask for more than 8 million for him.

That's the gamble you take and by the looks of things the board are doing that.

I think they are bluffing, trying to negotiate and save 1-2 million because they are cheap. If we don't pay this buyout clause ADL has way WAY more leverage in negotiations. Surely(you'd hope) we will pay it by Thursday (expires friday)
