1-0 FT

Good result, especially when Roma put 10 men behind the ball and tried to defend all game. Streams kept going bollocks, which pissed me off, but as Keane and Torres are injured and the Liverpool not looking so good, I have a great feeling about the game against them

A difficult match for us, and therefore the result is an excellent one. Roma were second best for 90 minutes and they knew it, hence playing with two defensive midfielders in a very negative line-up. There was no chance of us losing because they offered nothing gothing forward, and but for JT it could have been a very frustrating night.

Some huge positives to take from the game:

- the result: three points despite quite a reserved performance is excellent and puts us in get stead for progression into the next round. Plus with Bordeaux beating CFR Cluj, we can go to Rome with the possibility of progressing.

- the goalscorer : Terry's first goal at Stamford Bridge in over two years was actually quite brilliant. Man of the match performance from Captain Fanastic.

- the line-up: seeing Cech and Carvalho back in the team is a massive boost ahead of Liverpool, and both enjoyed solid performances against the Italians.

- the performance: the performance wasn't great - we were very efficient, however, and despite putting in a relatively poor display, we did enough to get three points. Happy times.

- the defensive record: we haven't conceded a single goal since Manchester United's opener at the Bridge in September in the 1-1 draw, and means we have kept three successive clean sheets in Europe.

Chuffed :D

Lol....what did Cech do to get 7....?

And Ferriera for 6?...i doubt he even touched the ball. B)

In my ratings, a 6 is the default. Hence why Ferreira got a 6. Cech got a 7 because when he was called upon to make a punch, or collect the ball under pressure, he did as such well.

They did the wrong thing by winding Terry up :)

True, the stats seem to show Cech was unemployed and that they were defensive in probably going for the draw, but they seemed a tidy team, but with three or four weak links.

Roma are a good team, they've had a really poor start to the season though. Defensively they're quite sound, its the lack of goals they've scored this season that has cost them so far.
