First off hope this is the right place for it.

Ok, so if you havent already seen the film you should stop reading this and go to see it now.

It is I think one of the best films i've ever seen, Heath ledger's Joker makes the film in ways, and no it's not because he's dead or anything, it was genuinely one of the most compelling characters in any film.

One part which made everyone sit up and take notice was (spoiler)

when the joker had some mafia guy and he had a knife in his mouth and he says "want to know how i got these scars? well my dad came home and starting threating my mom, now she didnt like this so she got a kitchen knife which he didnt like, so he took the knife, saw me, and grabbed me, took the knife in my mouth and said 'why so serious son? why so serious'"

that was so creepy.

Really a must see!

Fantastic film, and I agree, Heath Ledger as The Joker was seriously impressive. Possibly some of the best acting I have ever seen, so convincing.

I have a feeling a couple of fils down the line they'll try replace with someone as similar as possible like they did with Rachel Dawes, depending on how well they can play the part.

i really dont think that they should get anyone else to play that character but like Matt think that a few movies down they'll get someone - Heath nailed it and it's sad that we'll never get to see that again

i think the thing that works against johnny depp is that people already see him as captain jack and he isn't really a sinister character there

if he can make the transition to joker then well done to him but it'll take something special

Fantastic film. The new Batman films have been incredible, the realism and darkness in them compared to the slapstick family versions of the previous Batman films makes them stand out even more.

All the parts in the film are perfectly cast. Everyone will remember this film for Heath Ledger and it is without doubt his best performance and he completely got the Joker 100%, if you wasn't told it was Heath playing him i don't think you could guess. However if he does pick up an Oscar for the performance it is only because he died, as good as his performance is there is no way on earth he would have had a chance for an Oscar otherwise.

Even if you have never liked any of the Batman films before you should see this one as just a stand alone film it is pure quality.
