we'd safe 8 million pounds but we'd loose much quality... if we do not want to buy a fullback we should take bruma back

I'm talking in reference of buying Cahill as replacement

Bruma's progressing well at Hamburg, Rajkovic would be good to get back. He looked good for us in pre-season, worked well with Terry.

You are right that he looked good in preseason bu have you seen his performances in the last couple of weeks? he would need to improve a lot to get any first team action

I don't follow them, unfortunately.

André saw something in his potential though. I'm sure he will help him, and make him into a very good defender.

I have to agree with Idiot. For now he wouldn't offer us the qualitiy needed from a centreback that has to replace Alex. He played a good pre-season but that's it. In Hamburg he couldn't establish himself as a regular starter, hence I don't see any point how he could show good performances in our blue kit if he couldn't do so in Hamburg.

Bruma is better then Rajko, how can anyone disgaree?

There is a good reason why Bruma is HSV starter along with Heiko Westermann. Bruma has been picked reguarly by HSV new manager and the previous one, which says a lot about Bruma talent, especially knowing that managers are usually bias when picking between a loan player and their own players.

If the option is to pick between Rajko and Bruma, then is clear we should recall Bruma.

Bruma will not be happy if hes coming back to sit on the bench. If Rajkovic is sitting on the bench there, we can just recall him back to sit on OUR bench instead.

But doesn't he still have the work permit issues?

Ivanovic seems to be Boas first choice RB atm, which only leaves us with Luiz and Terry as our only two CB's. Bruma can be our third choice CB; we are participating in the FA, CL, and PL competition. So he is sure to get a lot of playing time.

He already said he'd rather stay.

It's like this, would we rather have a bench-warming Rajkovic, in Hamburg, on our bench.. Or would we rather take a regular playing Bruma, on our bench?

Seems unfair on the latter, and I'm sure he'd be quite upset to come back and play that bit-part.

Don't take what he said to the German media seriously, remember Sturridge said something similar when he was with Bolton. He has to show respect to the team he is on loan with, can't make himself sound like he is already planing on going back to his parent club. It is a good strategic move by Bruma, and his interview will definitely look well with the fans and his current manager.

A third choice CB will get a lot of playing time at Chelsea, and consider that AVB likes to rotate his players. And as i said we play way too many games for him not to be on the pitch every other games.

Good point.

I still think it's better for his own development if he stays there, where he's playing nearly all games. In a competitive league too.

  • 4 weeks later...

It's more pertinant to Tore but complexions exist in his contract too:

The English giants have a 50 per cent stake in the sale of Tore, effective until the end of the player's current contract at HSV, according to Hamburger Morgenpost. This means that, should Hamburg sell the Turkey international before 2014, they will be forced to pay half the fee back to Chelsea.

Tore, a Koln native, has been linked with a move to his ancestors' homeland of Turkey in recent weeks and his agent recently revealed that he anticipates negotiations between his client and Galatasaray at season's end.

"We haven't entered official negotiations with Galatasaray, but we have good relations with their board. At the end of the season? Why not? But not now," agent Bektas Demirtas told Radyospor.

Hamburg signed several players, including Tore, Michael Mancienne, Jacopo Sala, Slobodan Rajkovic, and loanee Jeffrey Bruma, from Chelsea last summer and though the quintet came at a cut price, the agreement between the clubs contains several clauses.
