Corner 456
Yep he sure did..the most interesting piece of info in the article posted by Marvin is that we are considering Roberto Martinez as a managerial candidate....I'm sure Martinez is on the alleged shortlist of managers as a back-up if the whole Guardiola thing doesn't work out. Any manager that plays a short passing game, 'fancy' football, tiki-taka or anything in that vein is probably on the shortlist alongside Klopp, Favre and Bielsa. BLionheart 516
Falcao will be another flop , we should learn from the Sheva , Torres experiences !!When it comes to buying a striker , it's not only about how many goals he is scoring for his current team but there are other very important factors as well , how will he perform in our current set-up compared to his team's current ?? Will we be able to provide a similar kind of service and put him in similar situations as in his current team ?? is he better playing in a possession game or counter attacking football ? where does he like to receive the ball and how?Studying the above trends , you will notice that we don't need falcao , we need a striker with very good link-up play , physically competent , likes to bring others into the game while keeping it simple , smart movement and of-course a great finisher ...The prime candidate should be Lewandowski for me , that's what we need , a strker like Lewandowski , even Anelka or Berbatov will be brilliant with this team , not knowing what kind of striker we need is like us buying fernandinho because we need a midfielder and he is great !! not that kind of midfielder we do need right ! EdenHazard 163
"Roman Abramovich is prepared to make Radamel Falcao the club's top earner by offering the striker a staggering £10million-a-year contract. ""Chelsea will offer the 26-year-old a deal worth in the region of £200,000-per-week, to lure Falcao."Both the quotes above have come from Daily Mail... We need an in form striker capable of utilizing the space guys like Oscar, Mata, Moses and Hazard will provide. We also need a physically competent striker who can hold up the ball and win aerial battles. I say Falcao, Bony and Lukaku is a decent strike force going forward, they all have different qualities and could be useful in multiple attacking scenarios. We don't know who our next manager will be, meanwhile we have the league to worry about and our only striker is slow and not really dependable; its a no-brainer that we grab a guy like Falcao if he's made available. He is one of the best strikers in the World right now... When we bought Shevy he was passed it and Nando was damaged goods I don't get why people always point to those two when talking about going big, what about buying Drogba? Anelka? Zola? Hasselbaink? Vialli? It doesn't always go sour you just have to do your homework and keep Roman signing cheques not making the signings. Falcao has low bust potential. Pizy 18,902
If PSG can buy Silva, Ibra, Lavezzi, Pastore, ect within a transfer window or 2 without fear of FFP and are still looking to bring in more stars then there isn't any reason why we can't pay £48m for Falcao. It's absolutely not about whether we can afford him, it's purely about desire now. If Roman wants him and Falcao wants to be a Chelsea player he will be.Just give him a contract with wages n par with Torres' and he'd be happy I'd imagine.
