So people that are expecting Falcao to come... Are you expecting us to sell Torres too?

Why? we should look for a new forward regardless of the form Torres is in for two reason's,

A few times this season United have had more forwards on the field than we have had on our whole squad,

Also improving teams when you are on top is what keep's top team's at the top. remember after the double season when the same Xl who were tossing teams aside were getting outplayed at home to Villa merely 6 months later.

I hate how people bring United and City into it. It's irrelevant because they play two strikers at the same time, so the culture is different.

United and City can afford to keep 3/4 top quality strikers for that reason alone. At CFC we only have one spot up front. If we buy Falcao it'd be ridiculous to have Falcao, Torres, Sturridge and Lukaku all vying for the one spot upfront next season. It's illogical and quite wasteful.

Not only will that harm squad harmony, the likes of Sturridge and Lukaku will look and think, "there's no opportunity for me here, it's better if I move". Torres wouldn't be satisfied with not being the main man either, and he'd cry about leaving too. On top of that add transfer fees, wages etc. and you'll soon realise its illogical to keep both Torres and Falcao.

We can always change system, Robben's arrival was suppose to signal the end for Duff, turned out to be the making of him.

As for Torres crying about not being the main man, if he winces at the face of the slightest bit of competition he can leave, if he really wants to show us he is back what better way than to do to Falcao what Drogba did to Sheva.

4 strikers is alot for any team, also teams who playes with two upfront. You will see that at least 1 of the strikers in each team (City and United) will want to leave in the summer or even January. Dzeko, Balotelli, those players needs to play bigger parts in any team, and Hernandez shouldnt be a 4th striker. In the end they'll had enough of sitting on the bench. It cant stay like this forever and imo its unhealty for the team.

Real Madrid who playes with one striker has two in their squad, and its like that for about two or three seasons. imo two is enough for a team who playes with one upfront. Three strikers only if the 3rd is very young or someone who's in the end of his career, otherwise the player wouldnt want to stay if he sees he wont get to be the first or second choise.

Is it realistic that Falcao could move in January? I don't understand why he would... Surely it's more likely that we would grab him in the summer?

No. Atleticos president said he want to sell Falcao, but he will stay at leat untill the end of this season.

My opinion: At the moment i am indifferent on this issue until january when we can assess the performance of torres and sturridge who will surely be given his chance before then. But if falcao is to come torres must go. No point having 4 strikers for one spot (imagine having 4 left backs).

Falcao is one of the best strikers in the world. Having him in the team would be a fucking great advantage! But if we get Falcao this Jan then I think Torres could be loaned for sometime. I don't want Chelsea to sell Torres. He wants to do a lot for the club =/

I'd only want us to buy Falcao so no-one else in England would have him

I've given up on us trying to sign world-class strikers with the hope they'll be world-class for us, cause the evidence is yet to back that up :( lol

So Drogba was not world class then I always thought he was

Only buy Falcao if we're going to sell Torres. Torres as second choice is worse than Lucas Piazon as second choice.

Stick with Torres, Sturridge for this season. If Torres doesn't work or we dont feel he's good enough to continue, sell him in the summer bring Falcao and start next season with Falcao, Sturridge & Lukaku.

Keeping two 50M, 200k/week strikers when we only play with 1 upfront is stupid business.

This (see below). Drogba did cost us quite a bit when first bought, and I credit that much to Mourinho. Plus even when Drogba wasn't firing on all cylinders we had options like Gudjohnsen, Mutu, Anelka etc to take up the mantle. We've just taken a punt with having Torres as a lone-striker and he's barely that £50m player we signed. Falcao will cost the near-same (if not more) and thus it's not wise for us. After Schevchenko, Torres, Lukaku (not passing full judgement on him, just used for example purposes). I'm disillusioned.

Do I also need to remind of a fellow by the name of CHRIS SUTTON?

]

He achieved his world class status whilst playing with us.
