Monaco striker Radamel Falcao is set to sign for Chelsea this summer. [sky Sports]

Falcao is ready to accept being part of #Chelsea’s squad, which would see him back up Diego Costa and Loic Remy. [Mirror]

The Mirror are the shittest "source" in existence, but if he does come here he will have to accept a squad role. If he is happy with that, then brilliant!

#Monaco want to offload Falcao permanently for a fee of 35m [massive hit on 60m paid in 2013]. #CFC pushing for loan+option to buy at 25m

And why are Monaco desperate to offload him and at such a huge loss when they aren't broke?. Man utd weren't exactly too keen on retaining his services beyond last season either. That along with his form and performance over the past 2 seasons should be a strong indication that we are better looking elsewhere for a third choice striker. We can't be basing player recruitment decision on falasies, hope and what if. Any risk assessment analyst will tell you, he's more likely to flop than to turn it around at this point. For the money being qioted, he's simply not worth the risk.

Absolutely don't want him. 2 or 3 years ago, any fee but since his injury he lost one of his main traits, his speed. Of course it's also something mentally he's underperforming but I doubt that's the only reason or main reason

If Jose wants an experienced striker, there are better ones at the moment

he never had to rely on his speed to score goals...

Their owner is (to an extent). They are trying to build a squad with promising youngsters. Martial is their present and future upfront.

The first season back from injury is always tough

It takes time to get over it and adjust, and as some rightly point out 'TORRES' never did. Owen to some degree did and maybe Falcao might.

Costa could always get a Red, Remy is injury prone - so having a 3rd established player is a risk, but he can't be any slower than Drogba lol :)

Loan is the best move.

After all our failed messiahs - it would be simply amazing if he came here and rediscovered his form :)

It's a 50/50 gamble - so I'm happy to take a positive stance (glass half full) and say Jose will mend him ;)

As I remember, he often outpaced defenders (especially on the first metres) to get away from them. That was one of his main strenghts

no it was his clever movement and his ability to make something out of nothing that made him a top striker

He used to be good but now he is closer to a Chelsea 2011 Torres imo. If we sign him for anything more than a loan with him earning 100k max is ridiculous. At least the Cuadrado transfer made sense but this makes no sense at all. This got the potential to be one of our worst sigining ever if it comes off permanently.

I thought he got over the injuries last summer but it seems it damaged him permanently like it did with Torres

Apparently, AVB want Falcao and Moutinho at Zenit.

Yeah have read it too, and Atletico wants Tevez to replace Mandzukic?

If Mandzukic is available, I'd go for him. He is a monster in the air, something we don't have.

Mandzukic seems to have an attitude problem, no?
