He's underrated and overrated by loads of people, but I think Leighton Baines would be a good option to buy if Cole leaves.

Everton could use some extra cash, we could use a free-kick specialist(?), and I've liked having some English blood in our back line. I don't want to lose that whenever Terry can't play.

Failing that, we could always go for the best left-back in La Liga - Filipe Luis of Atletico Madrid.

If he played for Barcelona or Real Madrid he'd be widely hailed as one of the best left-backs in world football, no doubt.

Finally, the only other very good and realistic all-rounded left-back I can think of is Nacho Monreal.

Obviously there will be loads of fantastic gems in all the 'smaller' leagues who I don't know exist, but from the top leagues, I'm sure any one of these players mentioned would do the job well here.

We need to keep him at any cost. Ash IMO was our best player at the business end of last season. Losing him would leave a massive hole in our defence, just like it has recently..

Hopefully Chelsea can agree a new contract with Cole cause Bertrand ain't ready and we can't judge whether PvA has actually improved until he comes back from Vitesse.

Shes knows the media stalk her facebook. I won't believe it until i see it. If we do lose Ash and Lamps in the summer, i hope to god we bring in some players with the same hunger and passion. I'm all for giving youth or fresh faces a go, but letting these two leave would be a crime.

If our board has at least some knowledge in football, they should keep Cole for any price.

He IS the best LB in football still, no doubt about it. In defence and attack, his passion to club, etc. Great player. Yes, he is 31, but still in great form, has experience with PL and we dont have proper replacement.

Give him 2 years, he will do the job well, and if he somehow loses form in one year, we can still sell him to china to Drogba or just keep him. He is definately one of few at chelsea that actualy deserves the payment he gets.

Yes there is policy about 30+ age at Chelsea, regarding contract extentions, but ffs I have no

clue why would we let Cole go just like that...

For those who live in England, could someone explain me why everyone is licking Gerrard's ass, but at same time there is so much 'dislike' towards Lamps? I mean, Gerrard is treated so better than Lamps in NT...any reason? Its not like Gerrard would do more for NT than Lamps...

It's quite simple.. Lampard plays for Chelsea. If Gerrard had made that 2005 move to Stamford Bridge, he'd have the same under appreciation as Lampard.

It's only a problem if you chose to naively believe it. Why the hell would Madrid buy Cole when they've got Marcelo AND Coentrao?
