10 years dreaming with a Colombian in Chelsea, and when finally comes, is a huge fail and let the team only six months later.
I don't deserved it.

Still got Falcao.

I think it can work out with him.

Mourinho recently was contemplating playing up 2 strikers.

Without obligation to buy... Not a great deal for us. 1.5 is only a fraction of his depreciation in value within a year given his age. But I guess there were no better options...

Other sources have it as 18m permanent... Too good to be true

“We can work and play with two of them at the same time. We are preparing things and we are working on things where it is possible to have two of them on the pitch.”

Mourinho said this about Torres last year too lol.

Can't see a front two of Costa & Falcao working too well. Inevitably in such pairings one of the two will find themselves occupying the ten position a lot of the time. Costa certainly does not have the skillset for that function and I'm pretty sure Falcao doesn't either.

To be honest, who really even plays 4-4-2 anymore in the first place? All the top teams you can think of now either play an interchanging front 3 (Barcelona, Real Madrid [to an extent]) or they play with a lone striker (Bayern, Arsenal, United). You can argue that Manchester City is the only to keep trying it with Bony-Aguero but even then you see their shape now is going towards a lone striker now that they've got Sterling and Navas flanking Aguero.

I agree with LDN there. Mourinho only meant that as an option if/when we need to chase the game. He won't start a game with 2 strikers because he has never been much of a 4-4-2 kind of manager.

The only top side who are playing the 4-4-2 amd making it work is Atletico Madrid and even then, they are a bit of an anomaly - they are an extremely hard working unit, who cover practically every space of the pitch and leave minimal area for the opposition to exploit. It's very difficult to pull off a 4-4-2 if you want to compete at the highest level and that's why Atletico should be respected for that.

Loaning him is pretty dumb/risky. If he goes there and stays in his current form then he'll be even harder to move after they send him back.

He'd have to do a Salah and tear it up there for it to be worth it.

When there was rumours of us signing Square I was excited. I thought he was an upgrade on Willian and would give us that balance we needed with Eden and take some pressure off him.

But with the slow start he made and him not taking advantage of the chances when they came it was pretty upsetting. It seems to me that even at his best hes a mirror copy of Willian and he doesn't offer us either an upgrade or a different playing option to change our playing style.

Now whether if he got a decent spell of playing time and whether he was given that much missed vote of confidence alot of players cry out for we will never know as its looked like his cards have been marked awhile now.

I just hope we can use him in a good deal and not lose too much money on him.

Whatever happens to the lad I wish him well.

Shame we never saw one of his celebrations.

Chelsea winger Juan Guillermo Cuadrado will reportedly be in Italy tomorrow to complete his Juventus move.

The reports emerged over the weekend that Chelsea were open to releasing him on a dry loan – therefore without an option to buy – for just €1.5m.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport now insist it is a loan with option to buy for €25m.

Cuadrado wasn’t even on the bench for today’s Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion, confirming his status at the Stamford Bridge club.

Sport Mediaset in Italy claim 27-year-old Cuadrado will be in Turin on Monday for a medical and to sign the contract.

It’ll be a return to Serie A after Fiorentina sold him to Chelsea in January for €31m plus the loan of Mohamed Salah.

Cuadrado spent the vast majority of his career in Italy, joining Udinese in July 2009.

What leverage do we have? When you're saddled with a pony like him we have no bargaining power whatsoever.
