It feels funny (in a bad way) and probably even undeserving that he's going to get a league medal despite having played so badly and done nothing of note since joining us.

And to think that Schurrle for example didn't even qualify for goal of the season.

Think he is slowly becoming worse than Torres. Now he is so afraid of making a mistake he often stays behind Ivanovic and not even making runs. When he does try to make runs he usually loses the ball which will damage his confidence even more.

Think pre-season is his last chance already, if these traits aren't fixed he is gone. He might be gone anyway if we sign Sterling. This just shows how you can never really judge a player on WC ever again. I mean Costa and Spain played like shit and they are still some of the best players in their positions, while players like Cuadrado, that Mexico GK and load of Chile players are now show they are shit despite the tournament.

As if you didn't know this before. You were one of the people championing the Cuadrado signing and used his World Cup performances to back it up. People were telling you not to take his World Cup form seriously back then already but you didn't want to believe.

You were also saying how we should sign Falcao instead of Costa because of Costa's World Cup performance. Funny how it goes isn't it?

I championed the signing, but mostly based on his last season in Fiorentina where he was excellent. Anyway, I think he was much better today and was unfortunate to get injured. I will hold off on judging him until next season, as he will have some time to adjust where needed this summer. Hope we see more performances like today from him, because if Willian continues playing like he is right now it will be hard to take his spot.

Anyway, a luxury problem.

Still looked poor at times especially defensively but compared to some of his other appearances, it was a tad better. Showed some nice moves in the final third. Big summer ahead for him. If he doesn't improve, he'll probably be gone in January.
