The thing is we're talking about Costa and not John Terry for example. Costa already wanted to leave Chelsea, more specifically England.

He wanted to go back to Spain but the problem (for him) is that Atletico can't afford him and Real and Barca don't want him. It makes you wonder where he wants to go. The only Atletico can afford him is if they sell Griezmann. And Simeone is leaving in 2018 so how does that work out? Fair enough, he will be considerably cheaper this coming summer. He's 28 and he'll only have two years left on his contract in the summer. Either Chelsea cave into the 'high' wage demands or you end up with a player who's transfer value will continue drop.

This guy is staying. For now. I think he'll end up signing a new contract. If you get him on a contract until 2021, you could sell him when he's most likely past his prime yet still fetch good money in 2018 or 2019 if it comes to that.

Diego joining Simeone at Inter in 2018. I'm calling it.

He won't play anymore for the time being as in Conte's eyes he isn't committed anymore. He should apologize to Conte and the staff and give his all for the team and in return the club let him leave in the summer.
But no he's being a selfish cunt like last year.

Starting to see why so many non-Chelsea fans hate him. He could've kept his mouth shut and work and ignore the idiotic Chinese interest 'till the end of the season but noooooo...there needs to be any fucking drama.

What games are you watching? His link up play with Hazard has been one of our Bright spots this year. He's single handily won use 4-5 games this year. Compare that to Hazard's poor finishing, ridiculously poor crossing and not to mention his lack of tracking back, and Costa is better. 

This conversation is ridiculous and I'm done. They've both been 2 of our best players this year and our tittle winning year 2 years ago. No one would pick Costa over Hazard if we had to pick one to stay and the other leaves. But you seem to think Diego is some sort of creative player rather than a pure 9

What games are you watching? His link up play with Hazard has been one of our Bright spots this year. He's single handily won use 4-5 games this year. Compare that to Hazard's poor finishing, ridiculously poor crossing and not to mention his lack of tracking back, and Costa is better.

He can't hold the ball yes but he has other pros which make him a great striker... we need him. Conte needs him. But he is so selfish at the moment. It's frustrating as it could jeopardize our title hopes.

True. I don't care if he scores 20 goals the rest of the season and suddenly wants to stay for the long term. 

This episode has been so frustrating that I'm willing to sell him. Maybe bring in Morata and James in the summer with the Costa money.

Of course, I'm not claiming he's the perfect striker. But he's definitely been been the best striker this year. Maybe player of the season.

unlike the last 2 seasons? in 2014/2015, he had 20 goals in 26 premier league appearances lollll And a nothing player without his goals? DUHHHH he's a striker FFS! And on top of 14 goals in 18 games this season, he has 5 assists, that's pretty damn good for a nothing player... you're so clueless its laughable

In 2014/2015 he could have score more goals it took him 5 chances to score one goal and a world class st has to have great overral play.
