Diego Costa

Regardless of what he's done or doing, we really need him to come back get fit and compete for a place, even if it is just until January, Batshuayi looks ill suited to our system and quite frankly, useless and we failed to get Llorente, so we are short upfront.

Conte might have to swallow his pride but I can't help but think about Tevez at Man City however many years ago he was AWOL, came back, played and inspired them towards the title. Costa if he was fully fit, motivated and willing to stay until January at least, would be a good player for us and ultimately give us more depth in a position we are one injury away from being left in a very bad position.

If he only stays till January anyway then I do not see what he could add provided that Morata stays fit. Diego lives from his his passion and fire. He will not display that for a club that wants him to leave I guess. Diego without that is plain useless.

What is his car doing in the car pack still? He's been gone for months and would have thought his car would be parked at or near his house in London or wherever. Sounds like BS

Maybe what they mean is they reassigned his parking space?

Atletico Madrid to wrap up Diego Costa deal this week

Chelsea have finally agreed to enter into talks with Atletico Madrid over the sale of Diego Costa, now that the player is ready to return to Europe.

Until now the London-based team had been refusing to negotiate, instead insisting that the unwanted striker had to first return to England after three months of holiday in Brazil to train with the Blues' reserves.

Costa, however, was refusing to come back until Chelsea altered their stance and agreed to enter into talks with Los Rojiblancos, something his agent has communicated to the club.

As such, Chelsea have now been convinced and a deal for the 28-year-old to leave Stamford Bridge should be finalised this week, assuming all goes to plan.

A fee of around 60 million euros is being discussed, which would make Costa the most expensive signing in Atleti history - although it remains to be seen how much of that amount would be guaranteed and how much would be dependent upon performance-related add-ons.

Maybe it's his club car, rather than his personal one. We no longer have the deal with Audi under which all members of the men's and women's senior squads were given club Audis but perhaps there is a new 'motoring partner'.

If it is a club car, you might think the club would reassign it, or return it to the leasing company, but we need to be seen to be playing this absolutely straight with Diego. We can't give him any opportunity to claim that the club was constructively dismissing him. By holding a car for him, we are showing that we are willing to fulfil all of our obligations, if only he would fulfil his.

60m is an ok deal, but not even that great in today's market. He should be going for 100m, but alas.

No doubt we will not even get that amount(the 60 mill euro's getting floated about!) The Diego Diego Diego calls from the fans seems far far far away alas but the club move on and that wedge will help for any reinforcements in January lol yeah the board will be ridiculed and hounded on once again i guess.

Chelsea, Atlético expected to agree €60m Diego Costa deal on Tuesday

Would be stoked if we sent him over and possibly got Correa back along with a bunch of cash.

They have some talented attacking options, so we may as well try to poach something off them. Obviously Griez would be the hardest to get over, but Correa is extremely talented and could quite easily turn out even better. Getting a young attacking gun would be an immense piece of work by the board.
