CHOULO19 24,332
Nothing on Zouma, just wish the players and Jose in general would stop talking about this boring crap. It should've just been ignored.Tell that to reporters. Problem is, with questions like that, saying "No comment" will create a bigger story because it will be interpreted that he at least partly agrees with the accusations. MrBlueGuy 1,552
Could be a serious injury...hope not as it would destroy a promising career stroey and iceman

CFC888 219
Doesn't look too bad, he managed to walk off.Maybe a season ender though (ie 2+ wks)Yep, this looks likely to be the case. However, with knee injuries, being able to walk relatively fine afterwards quite often tells you nothing. Serious (i.e. ruptured ACL etc.) knee injuries are often very painful initially but then athletes can walk and even run after the incident, but will then end up being out for 9-12 months. Not that this is anything like what I imagine Kurt's situation is. My point is just that the fact that he was able to walk off the pitch isn't really an indicator as to the severity of the injury. As you say though, this looks like a minor injury that will probably keep him out for a few weeks, therefore ending his season. We will see. Kieran.
Kieran. 6,317
That's true, I remember Romeu running around for a bit on his blown knee the last time he played for Chelsea. CFC888

Fulham Broadway 17,317
Fantastic player, shame about the niggling little injuries he keeps getting. Got on the end of some snidey challenges recently. Has to be worth 20m-30m now, and when you think Mangala cost Citeh 31.8 m its a shrewd bit 'o investment by the company Chelsea FC.

mikeholiday 209
Seemed like a non contact knee injury. Very worrisome.
CFC888 219
I have NEVER seen an athlete run or even walk after an ACL tear.Fair enough, maybe you haven't, but it is indeed very common for athletes to tear their ACL and then walk off the field. In the AFL (a local sport here in Australia), I would say almost 50% of players who tear their ACL are able to walk to the bench before getting it properly assessed.Zouma did not tear his ACL.I made it as clear as it could possibly be that I was not saying Zouma tore his ACL, I even put it in bold, yet you still refuted a statement I never made. I repeat, I was simply saying that with knee injuries, an athlete's ability to walk after the incident sheds no light on the severity of the injury. Those are debilitating injuries that I've often seen athletes writhe on the floor in pain and screaming. My mistake on the second part, I'm on my phone and it didn't show the bold. But i do agree about the severity of injuried in relation to how they walk off the pitch. CFC888

Not sure if there degrees of tears, or just depends on the guy. CFC888

Some will walk off, others will be stretchered off, both with the same injury.Anyway, back onto Kurt, has anyone heard any further details about his injury? With the players getting a few more days off post-Liverpool game it's all been a bit quiet. I guess we'll hear at Jose's pre-match press conference if not before.
