Jase 43,479
Its who comes in? Its not just as easy as saying "Carlo you're out!" What managers out there have the sort of resume and experience to go into the Real dressing room and have their respect? Klopp?Benitez. He has been linked a few times with Madrid before. What managers out there have the sort of resume and experience to go into the Real dressing room and have their respect? Klopp? That's the thing, though. There really aren't many top managers available. Klopp of course is the most obvious one. Benitez? Rodgers?
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Benitez. He has been linked a few times with Madrid before. That would literally have me rolling on the floor in laughter.
Blue Colored Sky 1,807
Isn't that tampering? he's under contract, no?Managers also have agents nowadays so City and others can speak with their targets through agents all they want.

Fernando 6,585
Benitez is actually a good manager Yeah he did pretty decent with us giving the squad. Mourinho also finished in third with almost the same squad.

CHOULO19 24,332
Benitez is actually a good manager I wish Jose would learn a thing or two from him about rotation..Under Benitez, we played something ridiculous like 69 matches iirc and actually finished the season with some of our best performances. Now, a lot of players seem burned out in mid March.

Fernando 6,585
Pretty silly to compare the two based on the league position.True but that's how it's done today. Comparing the amount of games and points won, like people was doing with van Gaal and moyes.
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Benitez is actually a good manager Benitez will not be able to handle the egos and the pressure of managing Real Madrid. The mere suggestion of such a thing is hilarity...

Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Still it was something won then nothing like last season.Say what you want, the Europa league title is not what Chelsea want to be winning. Had Jose won that last year it would've probably led to his sacking.I can't believe you are comparing the Europa league to 4pts from the title(the biggest turnaround in one year ever) and semis of the champions league. Where we finished last year did WAY more for the club than that shitty little trophy. The money we earned going deep in the champions league is 10 times the amount we made from winning the Europa league....

BUT IF he won he won a SECOND RATE trophy he still won ,, DONT let your prejudice blind you

Of course Chelsea don't want to be playing that, but still good enough cup.

The money we earned going deep in the champions league is 10 times the amount we made from winning the Europa league....Benitez did what was required, us and Rafa was the ultimate marriage of convience, we needed a high profile experienced manager to guide us through a transition period (Robbie did amazing in his interim spell but imo the full time job was too much for him) he needed us to get back on the horse and recover a reputation that took an all mighty wallop in his last season at Liverpool. Our squad that season were not winning the league or getting near it, infact I think we did well to finish 3rd, Arsenal and Tottenham had better balanced squads.Im not really a Rafa fan and in no way shape or form did I want him to stay full time with Jose wanting to come back, however he did a good job under not very ideal circumstances and deserves credit for that. Also it wasn't Rafas fault we were in Europa, the damage was already done when he came in.
