Melanicus 5,208
This is the thread for all Math problems and problems Math can cause. I actually need a help with this one.|z+i|+i*Im(z+i)=~(5)+2i~ is square root.Im is imaginary set.I know I should replace z with a+bi, but I don't know what to replace Im with. Rmpr 8,977
^^There is no need to substitute for a + bi, you can use the Z as an incognite and check results afterwards, but the math itself is right!

Yeah, I know mate, but since he said that he should substitute with a+bi, I figured that's what he has learned in class I was just surprised I still remember calculus! Yeah, he probably learned like that in class. But there are a lot of short cuts you can do when you dont substitute, so I usually find it awkward (but it is not wrong by any means).Fuck it, I still will have calculous when I resume Uni next year! Which year are you in now?I was supposed to be in my 4th semester, but I 'dropped out' ( more of suspended it) back in May and now I am studying to take a test in January to see if I will be able to return...If I pass it, not only will I resume it starting from the 5th semester, but I will be able to choose any Engineering degree I want (and not only the one I had applied to). Wish me luck! What about you?
