If this doesn't come to fruition though I wouldn't sell Willian to United for cash. With our recent track record and so late in the window, we'll end up messing up negotiations for a replacement and end up with a player that doesn't sufficiently replace Willian.

The squeeze is on for JM now, there is hardly anytime left and he has a completely broken relationship with Martial. You can't keep an unhappy player, something has to give.

We need a striker, and despite not being completed Higuain will still go to Milan, this has to be top priority for us to get Martial.

My problem with Willian is that I SUPPOSE that in his mind he thinks he's some world class player and untouchable here hence the total disrespect for Conte after the Cup final. What did he think back then? That he should not be dropped no matter what? No Willian you are just a work rate merchant that can easily be replaced with tons of other players. He is not a rat, just a disrespectul player leaving in his own bubble. If he stays and shows commitment then ok, if he leaves surely won't be missed. Actually I hope for a swap with Martial, hundreds of times more talented than Willian and should he thrive under Sarri would be a total bonus as well, chaos among the Mancs and the final nail in Mourinho's coffin in terms of giving young talent a chance.

pedro is good for rotation, we need a new quality starter right winger, shit we need it now even with willian in the squad.

i guess one of the reasons why would martial sign with us is if he would be played at his preferred position, which is a striker i suppose.

You can imagine hes none too chuffed about it tho mate, With that interview where he said he wanted to look into players eyes when there was talk of them leaving. He/club want to know where they stand.

Tho I'm sure there must be some sort of dialogue with him or his reps about ongoing things. Its a big bit of business.

I'm all for a Willian --> Martial swap.  But, it will require a lot more work.  

If we did pull it off, we would have a shortage of wingers.  We already need another (unless Moses is slated to play RW) and this deal would leave us 2 short but with 5 strikers (4 if you don't include Tammy who probably won't feature).  So, either Bats or Morata need to be shifted and a winger brought in.  Possibly could see a Bats to Dortmund for Pulisic type thing, but Milan just got Higuain, so Morata won't be going there. 

Can't see us pulling off 2 major moves like that in the time remaining.  Hope I'm wrong.

Am i the only one, who think Willian is perfect player to fill one midfield spot alongside Kante and Jorginho ?

 

I mean he ia technical player, good passing skill, able to carry the ball, can shoot from distance , like to play one two passing with player like hazard, very good work rate, hard working, much more dangerous when he play more centrally, have more possibility to shoot from distance

For me he could be perform much better and more consistently when he play on the left or play more in central position

Na!!!

The major problem is that he slows down the tempo specially in the final third. Thats where the issue is with Willian despite the talent.
