For supporting apartheid racism, for destroying the Mining communities, for sinking the Belgrano and murdering 323 Argentine sailors, for selling off OUR council housing, for destroying worker’s rights, for militarising the cops and backing their every crime, for ‘shoot to kill’, for Gibraltar, for the Birmingham 6 and the Guildford 4, for Wapping, for the ‘sus’ laws, for Cherry Groce and Cynthia Jarrett and all the many, many deaths in custody, for Trident, for The Poll Tax, for Orgreave, for Hillsborough, for Liverpool, for the beginnings of the destruction of OUR NHS, for her arms-dealing, warmongering, for deregulating the City and landing us in the present shite, for snatching kid’s milk, for ‘care in the community’ for ‘there is no such thing as society’, for her racism at home -stealing the vote from the NF, for enabling and protecting her paedo chums, Jimmy Savile, Sir Peter Morrison and her ‘British Lion’, for giving Murdoch the power he has, for her cuts and privatisations, for the H-Block Hunger Strikers, for the missiles at Greenham Common, for the bombing of Libya, for the first Gulf War, for Peterhead, for Strangeways, for her support of slum landlords, property speculators and exploitation in the workplace, for producing Tony Blair, for turning us all into prostitutes, for having a politics based on nothing more than ‘I’m alright Jack- fuck everybody else’ (disguised as a cod-philosophical ‘Freedom’) , for turning this country into a de-unionised, de-industrialised, commercialised, Americanised, privatised, wasteland filled with greed, materialist banality and envy, rampant self-interest and greed, magnified by a vacuuous celebrity culture peddled through shallow, prurient tabloid gossip- a shithole that depends on the tax-evading, casino-money laundering economics of the City of London, and a vast service sector that produces nothing of any consequence, where working class communities are reduced to living off meagre benefits and wages because the ‘job-creators and ‘wealth-producers’ , so beloved of Thatcher, can’t see any return or benefit to investing in them....

You are entitled to any opinion you want about any subject, but you can't aim insults at other members, it's against forum rules, and that has nothing to do with what your opinion is. I was not disagreeing with your opinion, just the insults aimed at the member.

One could argue that I was ever so slightly insulted with his crass comments/opinions but hey ho, I aint going to win, and nor is that the point. Gave my opinion and I stand by it. We move on.

She destroyed this country economically and that is just clear for everyone to see. Instead of looking at ways to really stimulate the manufacturing industry with targeted incentives and programs like the Germans did in the late 1990's she just dismantled it to make a political point. The UK could of become what Germany became in the late 1990's early 2000's much earlier... the phrase ''Made in Germany'' is a brand in it's own right. You can compete in this world if your products are reliable and long lasting just like what the Germans have achieved. If she had really invested in the engineering and science sector like what the Germans did then the UK would be in a much stronger position today.

She did all of that by herself - wow - amazing!

Seriously, if you believe 1 person is responsible for all of that - then you are sadly misinformed.

That's akin to blaming 1 player for every defeat this season - it's a collective process.

As for made in Germany - everybody knows the medical equipment is made in backstreets in India and everything else in China - so no - Made in Germany carries fuck all weight anymore and hasn't done for the past 5 years...

Thatcher believed in destroying whole communities, she even said there is no such thing as society which is why she tried so hard to destroy society. As for Germany they have a 5.3% unemployment rate with a 82 million population and the strongest economy in Europe which they built through targeted programs in the late 90's. Germany is the second largest exporter in the world and that is down to their small and medium enterprise system (Mittlestand) which producers manufactured goods that the rest of the world needs. They export more goods then America which is the biggest economy in the world and has a population of 315 million which is just mind blowing. Do you know where the UK is in terms of world wide exports ??? The UK is 10th behind Italy and Holland. That is directly due to her pounding the manufacturing industry into a pulp... Blair was also a Thatcherite !

Well, I love your black and white view on things... Unfortunately, experience and age has taught me life is much more grey than black and white, the notion that just 1 person in power can change things eludes me nowadays - maybe in Disney films that still happens.

You are discussing a Straw Woman and identifying her as the guilty suspect, exactly what the people with real power in the shadows want.

Germany has it's own fair share of problems, China is killing Germany! Living next door to Germany in Austria 2% unemployment, I work with lots of Germans who fear for their country's future...

So fine blame her, but show me any improvement under Blair? Oops. Ok, Brown oops - Coalition - oops again!

The only decent Prime Minister I have ever seen in my lifetime was John Major, boring as he'll, but fiscally astute and a little wild after a night on the Currie (cheap pun!)

And finally, what is Society? Like what is normal? That's a relative observation from an individuals standpoint. Also context plays a big part. Thatcher tried to smash the Unions, which also crippled Uk Manufacturing! But it's convenient to forget all the strikes by idiot union leaders that led to the decline in output/quality, increase in price etc and prompted alternative sourcing by foreign buyers!

So as I say, for every argument there is a counter argument and the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle
