Fulham Broadway 17,361
So you think Roman should go then? No. Its melodramatic calling him the Devil hes known as that in post -Soviet Union if anywhere.Bates treated the fans even shabbier and its symptomatic of whats going on at most clubs. Doesnt mean fans should lie back and take it though

bushman 2,043
Come on chaps. Calling for Roman head, are you kidding ?If he were to go, Chelsea club is nowhere within 2-3 years. Just like before he came on.
coolhead23 1,147
I hope and sincerely hope that the board/owner has learned their lesson from this season. Like:Sacking a manager who has given u the holy grail and replacing with a manager who is out of job & clearly someone who is not the fan's favoriteRunning behind someone like Pep who was suppose to be an expert in the tik-tak policies thinking that we can offer him money and power... clearly didnt work instead it was a slap on the face of ChelseaPersisting with Torres when we had cheaper and better options available in the marketUnderstanding that success cannot be like instant noodles, it takes time when in transitionThese are just a few which if strengthen by the board would set a blueprint for some real good future ... The only place to be 11,313
He should be given a chance to build bridges - he cant see the problems if hes got a load of nodding well paid donkeys round him.He should be given a chance but they shouldn't? Some opposition fans might say that we're too cowardly to call out our owner because we realise how much we rely on his money. I'm sure that's not the case and I'm sure that you're not just calling for the board's heads because they're an easy target. But let's look at who exactly we should sack and who we should get in. The first team is a mess because of mistakes made by people in charge around 2008 in my opinion. Now that includes Mr 'Silver Bullet' himself, Peter Kenyon yet the author of that piece seems to think he's the right choice to bring back. Is he on the money in that regard? If you look at the most contentious issues in the last few years, the purchasing of Torres, the sacking of AVB, the sacking of RDM, the hiring of Benitez, doesn't the buck ultimately stop with Roman? Blaming the people you think are nothing but yes men WHO WERE HIRED BY ROMAN seems to be a kneejerk reaction specifically designed to avoid upsetting our owner. Why not go the whole hog?Let's just sack the yes men and hire another group of people who definitely won't be yes men. But how does Roman hire these people? Oh right, by consulting with another group of yes men because he sounds like a frightfully insecure person. Or we can look at what we have at the top of the club and try and look at what they're doing with a sense of perspective. Have they made mistakes? Absolutely. Are there key areas where they've fucked up? Yes. Is the club on the whole moving in the right direction? I think we are. I think we're suffering from mistakes made half a decade ago and there's no quick-fixes for them.

It only took Chelsea to win PL some like....? I let you fill it here.Chelsea for the first 50 years of their existence won precisely nothing. Finally, in 1955 the league championship was won. Then in 1970 FA Cup & dick for another 26 years. League cup in 1998 & FA Cup in 2000. Then Roman came on & you became a fan.
manpe 10,861
This piece is shit, the moment I got to the part that says "No, you see in the eyes of Fat Ron and the board, including the demon Abramovich we’re not supporters." After that I only skimmed through it and noticed he called Benitez FSW too. I just can't take anything like that seriously. I wonder if he would have written that had we drawn or won against City.Anyway, I agree with @The only place to be

Krypt 241
I’ll be honest I have not been this dis-interested in a season for Chelsea in the whole 17 years that I have supported this club. Yesterday when those city goals went in I showed no emotion as I didn’t expect anything.Football is becoming more and more of a business each day and it’s a sad state. JT , Lamps and Drogba are a dying breed of players who give there all for the shirt.Regarding the article I agree with some things he is saying but not everything this club just needs to be managed better with decisions being thought through and not just knee-jerk reactions. Think how the people that actually go and have for decades feel. There are a lot boycotting as well.Still nice pic of Torres with a Donkeys head -who do you think wanted that player? who do you think thought -right if I get Benitez in he will get the best out of Torres ? SinineUltra 1,170
Roman has been the foundation for our recent real success and becoming a powerhouse in Europe. As much as we praise a manager and players winning EPL or CL, he was the one that brought these people together to achieve great things. Let's keep that in perspective. Chelsea was a great club with a big fanbase before Roman and will be when he eventually leaves, but we can't deny his involvement. One more thing that baffles me is that some of you are so bitter and just can't wait to spit out sarcastic remarks just to prove how big of a fan he is. I don't think that you can measure the level of support by your time following the club or any other silly criteria like that. That's like saying that a member, who registered 2009 on this forum, is more important than one, who signed up 2013.

The only place to be 11,313
Some people are so scared of Roman walking away they're afraid to criticise him when he fucks up.Exactly.The thing is, when I see Roman in his box I see a guy who genuinely enjoys owning a football club. That doesn't mean he hasn't made mistakes but I genuinely think we're heading in the right direction and that we'll achieve success built on sustainable grounds. But I expect more articles like the one in the OP if we fail to get into next season's Champions League. I think it would be premature for Roman to leave. I for one am eager to see what happens after this season, I want this nightmare of a season to pass by as fast as it can. If nothing will change in the club's thinking, I might just join the "Roman out" party, but not now.
